High Rollers is the sequel to 2024’s sleeper B-movie Cash Out (which I did see but barely remember) reuniting audiences with John Travolta’s slick criminal mastermind, Mason Goddard. Directed by the enigmatic “Ives” (which I guess is Randall Emmett hiding behind a pseudonym). This casino-heist actioner aims to up the ante from its predecessor’s modest thrills, trading small-time bank jobs for the neon-lit excess of a Louisiana gambling empire. With a bigger budget (while still constrained) and a glossier sheen, High Rollers wants to be the Ocean’s Eleven of the straight-to-streaming world. With this entry it could quite possibly hit that mark. Still, on first watch it’s somewhere between a guilty pleasure and a really enjoyable watch, a film that’s sporadically entertaining but...

Pic follows cynical degenerate Mark (Franco) and bumbling idealist Davis (Jackson) as they’ve both hit rock bottom. Many here at JoBlo were thrown for a loop when the great David Lynch passed away earlier this week. Over the last few days, we’ve written at length about his life and career at the site, but now we figured the time was right to turn the spotlight over to our readers and have them choose his best work.
Now, a few things to mention: Lynch is one of the few directors whose work on both the big and small screen was equally inspired. At first, I was just going to include Lynch’s feature films in this poll, but then I realized there’s simply no way one could pay proper tribute to Lynch without mentioning the original Twin Peaks series, or Twin Peaks: The Return, which remains his final work of art. So, I’ve included them all, as it can’t be denied Twin Peaks is his most iconic work,...

Ah, Wendy Williams has always been fearless to speak her mind and dive into the deep end of controversy. And talk she does—especially about the ins and outs of Hollywood. She even didn’t shy about stirring the pot with her daring claims about Beyoncé’s pregnancy, sparking debates that are as heated as they are sensational.

During an earlier episode of her show, The Wendy Williams Show host focused her sharp lens on conspiracy theories surrounding Beyoncé, suggesting that the iconic singer might have faked her pregnancy in 2011. Drawing attention to a particular moment from an Australian appearance, Williams made an eyebrow-raising observation: Beyoncé’s baby bump seemed to “squash[ed]” and “crumple[d]” when she sat down.

Love, Victor and The Morning Show writer and producer Jc Lee has given an encouraging update on the progress of his Boy George movie. Set to be adapted from Boy Georges own autobiographies, Take It Like A Man, Straight, and Karma, Lee will write the music biopic, while the iconic 80s pop star will serve as an executive producer. While it is unclear which actor will be selected to star as the Culture Club singer, Boy George has previously hinted at Game of Thrones alum Sophie Turner as an intriguing possibility, an endorsement that Turner herself openly embraced.
Speaking recently with Screen Rant, Lee was quizzed about the progress of his Boy George biopic. Suggesting that he is currently in the middle of writing, Lee said that he presently taking a break on the script, so that we can all have a chat. The screenwriter also went on to praise...

Following the news that Boy George and Culture Club are getting the big screen biopic treatment, an interesting casting suggestion has resurfaced. While no one has yet been cast as the 80s music icon, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner has previously expressed her desire to bring Boy George to life on the silver screen.
The casting idea was addressed by Boy George himself during an appearance on the Australian radio show Fitzy and Wippa back in 2019. Theres been some really interesting suggestions, he replied when asked who could play him in a potential biopic (via British Vogue). One of the most interesting suggestions was Sophie Turner. [People will say] she cant play you shes a woman, you know. But when I was 17, I would have loved to have been her.
This is where things get interesting, as Turner herself got wind of the idea and took to social media to declare, "I'm So down,...

JoJo Siwa, the self-proclaimed gay pop artist and Karma Songstress, confessed that she doesn’t watch RuPaul’s Drag Race despite appearing as a guest judge on All Stars 8 last year.
The former Dance Moms star was interviewed by a reporter on which Drag Race judge she prefers, the always funny Ross Mathews or style icon Carson Kressley.
After she drew a blank, the shocked reporter asked, “Do you know who they are?”
The singer shook her head as the interviewer said, “You don’t watch Drag Race? Girl, you were just on the show!”
Siwa responded, “I know! Which one should I say?” The reporter then whispered in her ear, and she confirmed that “Ross Mathews for sure” was her favorite judge.
The Reporter for Metro, a news outlet based in the United Kingdom, was interviewing Siwa with a Choose Your Fighter Q and A when she blanked on the famous RuPaul judges.

This article contains spoilers for Inside Out 2.
Inside Out 2 explored how an adolescent Riley would deal with new emotions during puberty. Screenwriter Meg LeFauve confirmed Riley has teenage crushes but it was best not to focus on them as the central plot of the movie.
The overwhelming reception for Inside Out 2 confirms it's a necessary sequel to the 2015 original. The emotions that have so far appeared tease potential sequels and the debut of more newcomers like Love, Contempt, and Regret (among many others). The film's pacing reveals screenwriter Meg LeFauve's brevity in handling the plot, which largely focused on Riley's struggle to belong in a group of almost-grown-ups. LeFauve told IndieWire that they decided to focus on this arc and veered away from Riley's crushes. She said that would only divert from the message of the film and sidetrack the story.

Alan Cumming can be recognized by X-Men fans for his role as Nightcrawler in the 2003 sequel X2: X-Men United. Looking back, the veteran actor feels that the movie is the "gayest" film he's appeared in.
Cumming spoke about his role in X2 during a new interview with Entertainment Weekly. He commented on how the movie was important because it had a queer director at the helm along with several queer cast members. For his part, Cumming is happy that the film was able to have so much involvement from the LGBTQ+ community, even as a mainstream property. He also said how he hoped that this aspect helped make people "less scared" of queerness.

Tupac Shakur's appearance in Straight Outta Compton is brief but impactful, with two actors portraying him: Marcc Rose and Darris Love. Marcc Rose, who plays Tupac on screen, closely resembles the rapper with his eyes, eyebrows, and posture, while Darris Love provides his vocals. Marcc Rose portrayed Tupac in another project, Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G., but his performance was limited in showing the rapper's personality.

Shortly after actor Stephen Amell made headlines for calling the SAG-AFTRA strike “incredibly frustrating” and “myopic,” “Heels” showrunner Mike O’Malley called up his series’ star.
“We knew that [his comments] were going to distract from the hard work that the people in both the WGA, of which I’m a member, and SAG-AFTRA were doing,” O’Malley said in an interview with EW. “When I heard and I called him up, I said, ‘Stephen, man, we all got to stand together.’ He got it immediately.”
