TV Mini-Series | TV-MA | | Crime, Drama, Mystery
A reporter confronts the psychological demons from her past when she returns to her hometown to cover a violent murder.
The music of Led Zeppelin features quite symbolically in Camille Amy Adams' life throughout the series. Coincidentally, the band's "Good Times Bad Times" also featured on the soundtracks of both The Fighter (2010) and American Hustle (2013) in which Adams also starred.
Don't tell Momma
SHARP OBJECTS filmed in many locations and Barnesville, Georgia was changed to look like the fictional Wind Gap, Missouri located in the "Missouri Bootheel" the southeastern-most part of the state, composed of the counties of Dunklin, New Madrid, and Pemiscot. Cast members do not pronounce certain words to exactly match what is actually spoken and is taught in schools in Missouri. The best example occurs in part eight (Milk) which has a nighttime dinner scene from 3 minutes, in which Camille Preaker (Amy Adams) and Henry Czerny (Alan Crellin) say the words St. Louis and Missouri, but incorrectly pronounced as Saint-Loo-is and Miss-oor-ee, instead of the correct Saint-loo-ee and Miss-oor-ra.
