Originally set to stream on February 10, 2023, but it had been delayed indefinitely. However, it premiered with Elemental (2023) on June 16, 2023.
Originally, "Carl's Date" was going to premiere on Disney+ in February (joining the rest of "Dug Days") but was then quickly taken off the schedule without much explanation.
This is Ed Asner's last time voicing Carl Fredricksen.
The short film serves as a finale of the Up franchise.
