A continuation of Vishwaroopam (2013), it showcases Wisam's relationship with his wife and team as he struggles to counter an impending terror attack planned by his archenemy, Omar.
As this is a bilingual film shot in both Hindi and Tamil simultaneously, the Hindi version marks the debut of Music Director, Mohammed Ghibran (or M. Ghibran, as he is commonly known.) In Tamil, this officially marks the first collaboration with actor Kamal Haasan. The two had earlier worked on Uthama Villain (2015), Papanasam (2015) & Thoongaavanam (2015.) As Vishwaroop 2 was under post production delays, the latter 3 films had released first.
The opening text recapping the climatic events of Vishwaroopam dictate that it took place in 2011. However, the promos for Vishwaroopam indicated it took place in 2012.
Shot as a bilingual, this is the Hindi-language version of Vishwaroopam 2 (2017) without a dubbing.
