The show now enters some severity. Because of the danger of a cyber attack, the President orders a closing of all financial entities. This, naturally, leads to panic. It also ups the ante concerning the future.

Roger has been in bed with the bad guys all along, but makes a courageous move.

Before that extreme means are employed to get Evan Green to give up information. Mullens keeps his cool, putting country ahead of his sense of disgust over the employment of such means.

Because of the doubt about Mullen's mental health, a psychologist is brought in to test him. The results are interesting. We are made aware of what the goals of Proteus were and how Mullen's may have been affected.
