The Ee British Academy Film Awards (aka. the BAFTAs) were presented in London on Sunday at the Royal Opera House with Steve McQueen's "12 Years a Slave" and Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity" proving the big winners of the night.
'Slave' took home the top award of Best Film and Best Actor, while "Gracity" took Best British Film, Best Director, and four technical awards (cinematography, sound, music, visual effects).
Cate Blanchett scored Best Actress for "Blue Jasmine," Jennifer Lawrence won Best Supporting Actress for "American Hustle," and Barkhad Abdi took Best Supporting Actor for "Captain Phillips".
"American Hustle" also scored best original screenplay and make-up. "The Great Gatsby" took best production design and costume design. "Rush" won best editing, and "Philomena" scored best adapted screenplay.

The nominations for this year’s Ee British Academy Film Awards were announced today (January 8) by actors Helen McCrory and Luke Evans.
Gravity led the way with 11 nominations. 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle were each nominated in ten categories. Captain Phillips has nine nominations, while Behind the Candelabra and Saving Mr. Banks were nominated five times.
Philomena, Rush and The Wolf of Wall Street have four nominations. Blue Jasmine, The Great Gatsby, Inside Llewyn Davis and Nebraska have each been nominated three times. The Act of Killing, The Butler and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug have two nominations apiece.

Stephen Fry has confirmed that he will host the 2014 BAFTA Film Awards.
It will be the ninth time that the comedian and writer has presented the annual ceremony.
"The awful truth is out - in 2014 l'll be hosting the @BAFTA Film Awards for the 9th year," Fry confirmed on Twitter.
"87 days until I grace the #EEBAFTAs stage again."
He later added: "I am really thrilled and honoured to have been asked to host the Ee British Academy Film Awards again.
"Despite the nerves and terror that something might go wrong and that I'll make a fool of myself, it's an annual event I really look forward to."
