A grumpy Grinch plots to ruin Christmas for the village of Whoville.
The Grinch in the 1966 cartoon and Jim Carrey version is paper thinned disguised as Santa Claus. In this film the Grinch plays a more convincing looking Santa including a beard and boots.

When we first see Cindy-Lou's house, there is a long winding sidewalk that goes from her front door down into town (she sleds down it to mail her letter). In all other shots of her house, this sidewalk is missing and the road runs right by her front door.
