A grumpy Grinch plots to ruin Christmas for the village of Whoville.
This is Illumination Entertainment's second Dr. Seuss film, after The Lorax (2012).
Um, what are you doing with my bowling ball?
Cindy-Lou Who: Chasing it.
Donna Who: I see, and you're taking it where?
Cindy-Lou Who: It's a secret.
When we first see Cindy-Lou's house, there is a long winding sidewalk that goes from her front door down into town (she sleds down it to mail her letter). In all other shots of her house, this sidewalk is missing and the road runs right by her front door.

The UK theatrical release was censored in order to obtain a U classification; the distributor chose to remove several uses of mild bad language (ass) from a song number in order to avoid the film receiving a PG rating uncut.
