A grumpy Grinch plots to ruin Christmas for the village of Whoville.
This is the second Grinch remake to be released by Universal, following the film of the comparable name in 2000 by Jim Carrey.
And the Grinch raised his glass, and led the Whos in a toast.
Grinch: To kindness and love, the things we need most!
Several times the Grinch stands on a rock outcropping by his cave that overlooks Whoville. On long shots of his cave, the outcropping is missing.

The UK theatrical release was censored in order to obtain a U classification; the distributor chose to remove several uses of mild bad language (ass) from a song number in order to avoid the film receiving a PG rating uncut.
