Malorie: Listen to me, we're going on a trip now, it's going to be rough. If you hear something in the woods, you tell me. if you hear something in the water, you tell me. But under no circumstances are you allowed to take off your blindfold.

Douglas: Every contact we've had with the outside has brought us death!

Douglas: You let a stranger in the house? Are you a simpleton?

[first lines]

Man: [over the radio] We have a place, a compound. We have a community. It's safe here. How many of you are there? Are any of them children? Because, the fastest way to get here is by the river, and I don't think you could make it with kids.

Malorie: [Malorie speaking to Boy and Girl] Boy, you have your dog. Girl, you have your kitty. This is just a place. There's nothing more that we need from it. Do you understand? And no talking on the river. You must listen as closely as you can. If you hear something in the woods, you tell me. If you hear something in the water, you tell me. But you never, ever take off your blindfold. If you look, you will die. Do you understand?

Malorie: Please don't take my children!

Tom: Surviving is not living. Life is more than what is it's what it could be, what you can make it.

Tom: That's something you can't unsee.

Tom: [to Malorie] I love you so much.

Olympia: [to Malorie] If something happens to me, I want you to take care of my baby.

Lucy: [Stretching her body, Lucy sees Felix admiring her] You've got *no* chance.

Malorie: [Some time later, Malorie walks in on Felix and Lucy having sex] Sorry.
