Paul Tanter's Shame the Devil is releasing on home entertainment formats today. The film involves a serial killer and one detective's mission to find him. Also, Shame the Devil stars Simon Phillips (He Who Dares), Juliette Bennett (White Collar Hooligan 2), Doug Bradley (Hellraiser), Kellie Shirley ("Eastenders"), Peter Barrett and Peter Woodward. A preview of the release is here. Taking a note from the Saw film series, Shame the Devil offers characters a test. They must tell the truth or face death. Several characters give dishonest answers and the victims pile up. Now, Detective James (Phillips) is searching for clues. This detective and the killer will meet in the back alleys of New York, for a final confronation. Several stills have recently been released for the film. The three stills show various characters, from this title. James looks for the killer, while another man faces the barrel of a gun.

If I was to ask you to think of action movies set in tower blocks you could probably come up with movies like Die Hard, Dredd and The Raid as being some of the most popular. Working with these type of settings it allows the film to have a certain controlled level of action and even set the fighting at levels of hardness. This is something that He Who Dares does, but at a low-budget and with a certain degree of British patriotism.

*full disclosure: an online screener of this film was provided by Studiocanal. Director: Paul Tanter. Writers: James Crow, Simon Phillips and Paul Tanter. Cast: Tom Benedict Knight, Simon Phillips, Christina Bellavia and Ewan Ross. Director Paul Tanter (Jack Falls) has reteamed with actor Simon Phillips for another action thriller. Their latest is called He Who Dares. This United Kingdom shot film focuses on the action, while the story comes across as a little simplistic. Still, it is hard to go wrong with a hostage situation, set two hundred feet below ground. Much of the action is caught with Tanter's use of quick cuts and edits, which helps amplify the violent tension onscreen. He Who Dares is a solid action film for those looking for some light entertainment. The film begins with the villain Holt (Phillips). Holt ambushes the daughter of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. He hustles Alice (Christina Bellavia) deep below ground,...

Ronnie and Reggie Kray were two of the most notorious gangsters alive in Britain in the 20th Century, already the subject of various pop culture references, with their lives being made into a film back in 1990, led by Gary and Martin Kemp. Now the two brothers are getting the cinematic treatment once more, with production soon to commence on Paul Tanter’s take, The Rise of the Krays.
Details on the project are being kept under wraps for now, but the first teaser artwork has been released, and we can expect the film to chart the brothers’ rise to power to become the most notorious gangsters in London.
Tanter (The Rise and Fall of a White Collar Hooligan) is behind the camera, directing from his own script, with Simon Phillips (White Collar Hooligan) and Billy Murray (Rise of the Footsoldier) supporting.
No word yet on who will be taking the lead,...

Obviously it’s not a good idea to kidnap the Prime Minister’s daughter when some badass Sas types are around to respond. Cause you know, being badasses, they’re probably doing to save the day. That’s just what they do. It’s probably no surprise that that’s exactly what happens in director Paul Tanter’s “He Who Dares”. Tanter is the writer/director of the “White Collar Hooligan” series, of which there are three at the moment. Who knew white collar hooliganism could be so lucrative? Check out the trailer for the actioner “He Who Dares” below. Looks like you’ll get some fisticuffs with your gunplay, which is never a bad thing. He Who Dares, the latest film from Paul Tanter (The Rise and Fall of a White Collar Hooligan), has officially wrapped production. The movie is a British action thriller described as a cross between The Raid and Die Hard. And with a description like that, our interest is understandably piqued.
Due out at the end of the year, we’ve been given the first poster for He Who Dares to debut, bearing the slogan, ‘Fight. Kill. Win.’ Just the kind of sentiment you want from an action film.
