Nicolas Cage's $72M Crime Movie Gets An Exciting Sequel Update From Bill Skarsgård

Lord of War has gotten a major sequel update. The 2005 movie, which was written and directed by Andrew Niccol, stars Nicolas Cage, Jared Leto, Bridget Moynahan, Ian Holm, and Ethan Hawke. The Lord of War story is based on true events, following Yuri Orlov as he goes from being a restaurant owner to an arms trafficker. The sequel Lords of War has been announced, with Nosferatu's Bill Skarsgård reportedly set to executive produce the movie and star opposite Cage as Orlov's son, but it missed its planned Fall 2023 filming date.

Josh Horowitz recently interviewed Bill Skarsgård on an episode of Happy Sad Confused. ‘The Little Mermaid’ Star Jonah Hauer-King Joins Daniel Cockburn’s ‘The Eden Express’ (Exclusive)

Jonah Hauer-King, who recently captured Ariel’s heart in the live-action reimagining of “The Little Mermaid,” will play a troubled member of a literary family in “The Eden Express.” The film is produced by Scythia Films in collaboration with Good Question Media, and is written and will be directed by Daniel Cockburn.

Hauer-King takes the lead role of Mark Vonnegut, the son of science-fiction author Kurt Vonnegut. The film follows his 1970 quest, alongside his girlfriend Virge and a group of friends. to escape Nixon’s America to find a better way of life on a British Columbia commune. It’s a place they hope will be an “Eden” on Earth. However, as this new utopia comes into focus, Mark starts to hear voices and see visions that give him ominous instructions, marking the start of his journey with bipolar disorder. “The Eden Express” is based on Mark Vonnegut’s memoir of the same name.

Pierce Brosnan to Lead Thriller ‘Wolfland’ With Son Sean Brosnan Directing, the Exchange Launching Film in Cannes (Exclusive)

Bond legend Pierce Brosnan has lined up a new project, and this time it’s being directed by his own son.

Thriller “Wolfland” marks the second feature from actor-turned-filmmaker Sean Brosnan (“My Father Die”), working from a script he co-wrote with Matt D’Elia.

The film is being produced by Marcus Warren for Light Sound Frequency and Christian Moore for The Consortium, with Imaginarium Studios, founded by Andy Serkis, providing creature design and effects. The Exchange is executive producing and handling worldwide sales at the Marché du Film in Cannes, with the shoot expected to start later this year in the U.K.

Romantic Comedy ‘Worth the Wait,’ Starring Lana Condor and Andrew Koji, Picked Up by The Exchange (Exclusive)

The Exchange has acquired the worldwide sales rights of romantic comedy feature “Worth the Wait,” which stars Lana Condor and Andrew Koji.

The Exchange will introduce the title to buyers at the European Film Market in Berlin, which runs Feb. 15-21.

Set in Seattle and Kuala Lumpur, “Worth the Wait” is a story about the intertwining lives of Asian-American strangers over the course of a year as they find new loves, mend their relationships, and create new connections.

The film, which is in post-production, is directed by Tom Shu-Yu Lin, whose credits include “The Garden of Evening Mists” and “Winds of September.”

“A modern approach to ‘Love Actually’ with a star-studded Asian American cast, Tom made a heartwarming rom-com that is truly worth the wait,” said Nat McCormick, The Exchange’s worldwide sales and distribution president.

Luke Evans and Milla Jovovich Board Brad Anderson’s Sci-Fi Action Thriller ‘World Breaker’ (Exclusive)

Luke Evans and Milla Jovovich are attached to lead the sci-fi action thriller “World Breaker,” which will be directed by Brad Anderson. The Exchange is handling international sales and will introduce the cast to buyers at the European Film Market in Berlin.

Evans, whose credits include “Beauty and the Beast,” is coming off a starring role in “Backstairs Billy” in the West End. He and Jovovich, best known for the “Resident Evil” franchise, previously starred together in “The Three Musketeers.” Anderson’s credits include “The Call,” “Beirut” and “The Silent Hour.”

The film centers on a father and his daughter. Five years previously, a tear in the fabric of reality brought creatures to our world from an alternate dimension bent on our destruction. The father hides his daughter on an island to keep her safe, while he prepares her for survival and the battles to come. But no place is safe.

Exclusive: Anna Faris (Mom) has joined the cast of I, Object, the newest feature from Oscar-nominated Gattaca filmmaker Andrew Niccol, first announced during last year’s Cannes Film Festival. She takes over the role of Melanie Lynskey, who departed due to scheduling conflicts.

Faris is now part of an ensemble that includes Karl Urban, Thomasin McKenzie, and Jemaine Clement, as previously announced.

A live-action/animation hybrid, I, Object centers on Tom, a 10-year-old grieving the loss of his father. Unable to relate to the people in his life, Tom takes refuge in the everyday objects around him. Pop can lids, suitcases and untold numbers of everyday objects reveal their true faces and speak to him, helping him on his healing journey.
