Jennifer Lawrence, now accustomed to being front and center on magazine covers, appears off to the side in a bridesmaid dress on the latest cover of Martha Stewart Weddings.
Jennifer Lawrence The Bridesmaid
Lawrence, 23, was one of 11 bridesmaids for her brother Blaine Lawrence’s wedding to Carson Massler. The Lawrence-Massler nuptials took place at the Hermitage Farm in Kentucky in October 2013.
In the cover photo, Massler, in her white lace Monique Luhillier wedding dress is the main focus, while the American Hustle and Hunger Games star stuns to the right of the photo in a peach gown with a heart-shaped neckline. In photos within the magazine, Lawrence’s brother looks dapper posing in a Jos A. Bank suit that he paired with cowboy boots.
Despite the rainy day for the wedding, the 325 guests had a ball. There was even a patch of sunshine that came through just as the couple was exchanging their vows.

The 86th Academy Awards have come and gone but the tweets, well, those will endure forever.
Case in point: Ellen’s Twitter-breaking selfie (embedded above), which was crammed with more Hollywood A-Listers than the court side seats at a Los Angeles Lakers game. Rocketing around the Internets at breakneck speed, the snap, seemingly born of a spontaneous creativity but in fact carefully scripted, has racked up more than 3.3 million retweets since Sunday, making it the most popular 140-character status update of all time. As in, like, ever.
Naturally, the Internet has responded in kind (because Internet) and collected below are 9 of the wittiest spoofs, parodies, and retorts to surface thus far…

In terms of ratings, it is the highest-rated Oscars in the advertiser-sought adults 18-49 demographic since 2010, with a 13.1 rating/33 share — a one percent uptick from last year, when the show had a 13.0/31. The 86th Academy Awards marked a historic night for black filmmakers at the Oscars. It’s the first time a black film – 12 Years a Slave — won best picture; the Academy’s most prestigious award.
It feels old-timey to be discussing race in 2014, but sadly it’s still a relevant issue when it comes to Hollywood. Prior to 2000, only six black actors had won Oscars. Since then, black actors, directors and producers have won 18 times. Race is becoming less relevant in the selection process and voting, but just because the current president of the Academy (Cheryl Boone Isaacs) is black, that doesn’t mean everything’s puppy dogs and ice-cream.
Despite recent Oscar history, many argue that minorities are still on the outside looking in. In fact, some nominees like Gabourey Sidibe and winners like Halle Berry haven’t been able to follow up their Oscar success with quality roles. Word...

There's something new at this year's Oscars. Most people won't notice it, even though it'll be on-camera numerous times. It'll be so well-hidden in plain sight, it'll be practically invisible. But without it, the Academy Awards could not function at all. Yup, the briefcase. This year's Oscars will mark the debut of a brand-new, black leather Bally case. It won't have retina-scan locks or motion-detecting alarms, but it will be embossed with the Oscar and PricewaterhouseCoopers logos."They're just super-nice-

This morning the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced their nominees for the forthcoming Oscars, and unfortunately there were a few serious omissions.
For instance, many people were shocked to see that both “Saving Mr. Banks” and actress Emma Thompson failed to receive a nod in the Best Pictures and Best Supporting Actress categories, respectively.
To that end, Tom Hanks wasn’t recognized for his thrilling and compelling performance in the much-lauded “Captain Phillips.”
Even Oprah Winfrey, who was nominated for a SAG Trophy, BAFTA honors, and Critics Choice glory was left out of the running for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “The Butler.”
Furthermore, “Inside Llewyn Davis” and “The Butler” both got the cold shoulder in the Best Picture running, while Scarlett Johansson missed out on an Oscar nod for “Her,” and Justin Timberlake was ignored in the Best Original Song list.

With the Oscar nominations announced, speculation is running wild on who got subbed and who is undeservedly praised. Most notable on everybody’s snub list is Oprah Winfrey, who was considered a shoe-in for a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her work in Lee Daniels’ The Butler.
Winfrey, who had not appeared in a feature film since 1998’s Beloved, received a Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG) Award nomination as well as a BAFTA nomination for her role, but was left out by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) when they failed to nominate her for a Golden Globe.
Despite the Golden Globe snub, many still considered Winfrey a top Oscar contender. If nominated, this would have been Winfrey’s second nomination. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in 1986 for her work in The Color Purple. Winfrey was passed over in favor of nominees Luita Nyong’o (12 Years A Slave...

The 2014 Oscar nominations were announced Thursday, with heavy hitters Gravity and American Hustle leading the pack with 10 nominations each and 12 Years a Slave trailing with nine.
Over 6,000 members of the film industry, including actors, directors, composers, etc, have voted to narrow down the contenders for this year’s Academy Awards and the nominees have finally been announced.
No surprise, 12 Years A Slave earned nominees in most of the major categories – Best Actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, Best Supporting Actor Michael Fassbender, Best Supporting Actress Lupita Nyong’o, Best Director Steve McQueen and Best Picture. David O. Russell continued his Oscar nomination streak, earning a Best Director nod and also going four for four in the Acting categories for his film American Hustle – Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence, Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper were all nominated.

TV funny gal Ellen DeGeneres will be hosting the 86th Academy Awards, the Academy announced today. This will be DeGeneres' second foray into Oscar hosting, her first being the 79th Awards back in 2007, for which she was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program. "I am so excited to be hosting the Oscars for the second time. You know what they say - the third time's the charm," said DeGeneres in a statement. The Academy Awards are being executive produced for the second year in a row by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. "We are thrilled to have Ellen DeGeneres host the Oscars," said Zadan and Meron. "There are few stars today who have Ellen's gift for comedy, with her great warmth and humanity." The 86th Oscars will take place on March 2, 2014 and air on ABC.
