  • Right, well even though I very well knew that I was going to get myself into a questionable movie with 90% likelihood, then I still decided to go ahead and watch "Victoria's Exorcism", although the movie was carrying the title "Exorcist: The Fallen" where I found it. Yeah, talk about a misleading title.

This movie was phenomenally boring and uneventful. I managed to endure a staggering 45 minutes, and dozed off twice along the way, before I had to toss in the towel and give up from sheer boredom. The storyline in "Victoria's Exorcism" was just so mundane and boring that it had absolutely no appeal to me in any way.

The script and storyline was boring and equally so executed on the screen. The characters in the movie were one-dimensional cardboard cutouts and the dialogue was just downright abysmal. As for the special effects, well I honestly didn't see any in the 45 minutes of the ordeal that I suffered through.

If you enjoy a good horror movie and like the exorcism subgenre of horror movies, then do yourself a favor and stay well clear of "Victoria's Exorcism".

EXORCIST: THE FALLEN is a laughable indie horror flick from Oregon. It's, unsurprisingly enough, an obvious clone of THE EXORCIST, made with little in the way of wit, originality, or style. The plot is about a girl who becomes possessed by a demon and the efforts of a priest to save her, but as with most indies, the supernatural content is limited to just a couple of scenes and the rest is all boring small talk. Watch out for the geeky priest who's a spitting image of George W. Bush.

If you have seen on exorcism film, you have seen them all. 1) Introduce Priest. 2) Introduce characters 3) break out the dreaded Ouija board 4) Break out red contacts and demon voice distorter 5) Think of cute demon name like Abaddontrump. 6) if budget permits twist head around (their budget didn't permit) 6) Perform exorcism, break out Holy Water 7) have someone die in the end.

Some films are done better than others. This was one of "the others." Tara Marie Kirk wasn't too bad as the lead until she became possessed and then she couldn't pull it off. It was funny to watch her pretend she was possessed. The supporting cast didn't help the script that A listers would have a hard time saving.

3 stars is generous. I like redheads.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity

Wow. This film is all kinds of awful.

#1 The storyline checked all the exorcism movie ever made with a big old Sharpie marker.

#2 The effects were just sad.

#3 Cinematography uninspired. (Who does an exorcism in an athletic field? Really???) #4 The acting by the ensemble was a little theater caliber at best -- mostly it's not "at best."' I'd like to say the Devil made them make this film, but even Satan has standards.

Watch this movie with my boyfriend. It wasn't horrible but it seemed to be on a very low budget. They did not have many characters and the graphics weren't very good. If the graphics were better and not so clearly faked, I would give this movie a 5.5 out of 10

This movie, Victoria's Exorcism (original title) and is even displayed as such at the end of the movie, is seriously rubbish. I've seen bad CGI before but this is just ridiculous, devil eyes are superimposed, blood is superimposed and not all that well either. The portrayal of Victoria as being a happy go lucky person, doesn't mean having a stupid laugh and at anything. Definitely no comedy or horror. Whoever fronted the cash for this production needs to ask for a refund. Don't waste your time on this rubbish.
  • I'm amazed that someone paid to produce this total travesty which I can't even call a movie. It's total garbage. Every facete is Negative Infinity.

Overall movie = - Infinity Script = - Infinity. Bad script. Bad grammar. Everything that should have been edited out is edited INTO the script.

Story = - Infinity Sound = Voice tracks mixed with background and music. Noob studio Effects = What effects?? A first timer can do better Acting = Or rather lack of. One would have to intentionally try to act this bad.

And on and on and on.

I have seen well over 5000 movies. THIS IS THE WORST movie that I have ever seen.

I loved The Exorcist film from the 70's. Honestly, some of the sequels and prequels are really well done for their time and the original is one of the scariest movies I've ever watched. When I was a teen and watched for the first time, it haunted me; my dreams and thoughts were shook up for a good couple of weeks.

However, this version? I cannot take it seriously. The screenplay is weak, poorly written and connected, very jilted, like a bunch of kids wrote this the night before it was due in high school and didn't bother to go back and edit it.

The acting is where this movie falls apart. The mother, a supposed "doctor" doesn't believe (initially) in demonic possessions, but her convictions aren't strong enough or based in science. I feel as though she should have been more indignant about it and gave us alternatives, like a differential diagnosis for what was going on. She just flatly refuses. I feel like when she speaks, she's never seen the script before and someone is holding up cue cards and she left her glasses at home. The monotony of her voice is as flat as her character.

Every character was cast poorly. The brother was the most believable out of the entire lot. They don't understand how to build tension and feelings. It's 100% the whole time, like someone in a traditional orchestra, where instead of playing the notes as written and with differences in volume and emotion, like from pianissimo to forte, they play it all as loud as they can, their instruments untuned, not playing with the other orchestra's instruments, and the conductor, or the director in this case, doesn't read music 😂

The girl at the beginning is so bratty and would win an award for the most whining and eye rolling. She literally doesn't become annoyed or throw in an eye roll. She whines at a ten and rolls her eyes every time she blinks. She isn't sinister in her possessed role, she's just trying to copy other possessed people from other films. She doesn't frighten me. Even the scene, where she accuses the dad of wanting her physically isn't disturbing or creepy. It's just strange and weird.

When she crashes upstairs and glass breaks after she starts screaming, the brother and dad literally take 20 seconds before they even react. If someone screamed and glass broke in *my* house? I would immediately jump and get up and actually act scared. The brother just looks annoyed with her and confused, not scared. The only believably scared person is the friend of the brother who was in the car crash.

Overall, give this a skip. I honestly cannot remember any worse acting in years of seeing low budget films. Instead of this, if you want a lower budget, made for tv movie, go watch "The Haunted" from 1991, free on YouTube. Or the incomparable Vincent Price, in his movie "The Last Man on Earth", free on YouTube. Both of these have low budgets, good acting and can be a bit of their time in regards to special effects, etc., but this movie, The Fallen, is 90 minutes of life you'll never get back. Skip it. It's not even ironically funny because the acting is so bad, like in "The Room" with Tommy Wiseau.
