Damn this show doesn't get nearly enough credit. Not only is it funny beyond your wildest dreams, and the craziest thing you will ever see, it's a very smart satire of the boring traditional late night talk show. Fantastic show with an amazing line of guests. The best part of the show is that the guests have no clue what's coming, another satire of the way most talk shows are scripted.
  • This episode is spectacular. If you don't understand and appreciate the comedy André defines by this episode, I honestly feel bad for you. The guests were all fantastic and had me moved by their answers. Top quality all around.
  • Warning: Spoilers
The five-year-old "The Eric Andre New Year's Eve Spooktacular" (2012) may be a bit of a misleading title for this one as there is nothing spooky about it or was intended to be, but it is still a solid watch. Then again, it wasn't aired on 32st December. Taking into account that Andre wasn't even 30 when he made this you can forgive him for his occasional "overthetopness". It was still a pretty entertaining little show of 27 minutes. The guests (inclusing Sorbo and Lovato) are fine and the supporting guys are okay as well. It all works somehow and I see some definite late night talent in Andre if he settles down a bit. He has great screen presence and has some very funny moments, so there is definitely more about him than his memorable looks. I saw in in "Apartment 23" where I think i did not like him too much, but he was solid in "2 Broke Girls" and with his short program of under half an hour here he won me over I guess. There is always something happening and most of it was pretty nice to watch. Go see it, preferably in December 2016.
