A small group of former classmates organize an elaborate, annual game of tag that requires some to travel all over the country.
Nora Dunn plays Hoagie's mom in the film. She also played Louise, Schmidt's mom, in New Girl (2011), which also starred Jake Johnson.

At around 53 minutes in, Chili is on foot chasing someone through a forest. His hands and face are clearly visible several times. And it's clearly shown that he is holding nothing in his hands or mouth. He's running fast, non-stop, and his mouth is wide open. Immediately following one of the cuts, a lit joint has suddenly appears in his mouth.
Though the film opens with a caption stating it is inspired by a true story, and even closes with an image of the actual Wall Street Journal article, the credits do include the standard disclaimer about the film and its characters being fictional.
