Gino Angelini kept halting production by refusing to do anything except describe in vivid detail how much he lifts. Because of this, they were three weeks behind schedule.
During production, Dante Dammit got her identity stolen, so some of the scenes were directed by Eli McManamon.
The script of the film was about a cis and trans man, however, it was later changed to be about a cis and a trans woman.
The short film is based on the real-life event surrounding Armin Meiwes, who murdered and ate a voluntary victim in 2001.
The look of the film was influenced by the tape Armin Mewies and Bernd Brandes recorded together.
