Enjoying the show, the action, the actors, even the Forerunner tech (game departures aside), but OMG for the love of sanity can someone please shoot Kwan?!
It's like every time I'm getting into the story I'm suddenly dealing with a Rey Palpatine wanna be who is more fixated on her dusty rock tribe's little rebellion than the incredibly advanced aliens that are raining from the sky.
That aside, the rest of the show has been really good si-fi fun. Pretty well paced story wise, just enough character development without anything overshadowing the fact that this is a story about enhanced human super soldiers vs. Aliens.

I never played the Halo games so I didn't really know what to expect but I have to say I really liked it. First off, Pablo Schreiber is such an underrated actor and does an excellent job in almost everything he does and he's great as the lead here. It seems that most of the people who don't like it is because it's not exactly like the video game. These shows need to be adapted for tv so there going to be a little different. Most people don't read the source material and don't care but I guess some of the ones who do know it do mind. As long as it's entertaining I've never cared if they change it up a little. This story is well written, the acting is good, and there's plenty of action and drama to keep you interested throughout the series. I absolutely recommend this to anyone who's a fan of sci-fi or action.
I played the game in the past, but as the game was just a solid sci-fi game, the show is just a solid SF show. While the setting was ok for the game's purposes It wasn't in any way special for me, so even if there are some inaccuracies between the lore in the game and the show, I simply don't care.
I like it, it's just well-made classic sf-stuff without any strange experiments with the formula. At the same time, it's also possibly the best super-soldier story I have seen, for sure when counting only shows and not fully-blown Hollywood movies.
I also like the cast for the main character. A good balance of being a cold professional soldier and somebody human enough to relate to.

I actually enjoyed Halo a lot more than I thought I would. It's based off a video game about an enhanced super soldier they call Master Chief and his team as they defend humanity from Aliens and it takes place in the 26th Century. The special effects stand out as you can tell they put a lot of money into the show. It may start a little slow for some while it builds it world and it's characters but I found it extremely entertaining. It may get a little complicated for some of you who don't pay close attention though. I enjoyed this show so much that I binged the entire first two seasons over a weekend so I'm really looking forward to them making a few more seasons.
Growing up playing all the games you have expectations, during I begining of the show I was disapointed. But now I see it for what it is, a fairly good adaptation. They may not follow the story to a T but it heads in a same direction. I thoughly enjoy the show and the characters within it. If you play the games you generally know what's going to happen next even if it doesn't happen the exact same way. I love a new twist, just like last of us it's not the same all throughout. Though the last of us is closer to the source material, Halo does what its needs to and entertains.
Can't wait to see what's coming, just finished episode 7 of season 2, and I have a pretty good idea of what was discovered by the scientists. CANT WAIT.

- TriviaTo prepare for the show, many of the actors received different forms of Halo media to study. Pablo Schreiber, who plays the Master Chief, watched every Halo cutscene from the games, watched every live action movie and animated short, as well as read several of the books and graphic novels. Kate Kennedy, who plays Kai-125, beat the campaign for each main Halo game and read The Fall of Reach. This comes from Schreiber and Kennedy's interview with Paramount+.
