About 9½ minutes into the film, there is a video short called 'Nutrition and Patriotism'. Several characters in this short say, "I'm doing my part." This is an homage to Starship Troopers' which also starred Casper Van Dien.
According to her criminal file in Knorr's office Heidi's last name is "Mayenfeld". Maienfeld is a small town in Eastern Switzerland, in which Heidi arrives in the original novel by Johanna Spyri. The town is known for its "Heidi"-tourism.
Fräulein Rottweiler is a parody of Fräulein Rottenmeier from the original novel. In the novel Rottenmeier is the governess of Klara Sesemann and is portrayed as very strict.
The assault rifles shown in the film are SIG 510, the Swiss military rifle between 1957 and 1990. After finishing their mandatory service, Swiss army soldiers usually own their rifles after conversion to semi-automatic fire. Given the ubiquity of these rifles among collectors and hobby target shooters, the SIG 510 rifles in the film are not replicas.
