    Warning: Spoilers
Story - A Routine one, unworthy of discussing about.

Performances - The whole and sole of this movie is Mahesh. He is made to utter dialogues in different accents and that attempt is slightly back fired as he is only partly successful. His performance in some emotional scenes is good, though. Tamannah's role is more of a cameo, than heroine. Rajendra Prasad is wasted. Brahmanandam's comedy is extremely routine and evokes not even a smile most of the times (forget about laughing). Sonu Sood is okay. M.S.Narayana and Satyam Rajesh are nice. Brahmaji is used to give interval bang and he is successful in doing so.

Music - A couple of songs by Thaman are nice. Background score is good in parts.

Technical Departments - Art work and Photography are good. Editing is not up to the mark, especially in second half.

Story, Screenplay, Dialogues & Direction - Story is routine one which can sometimes be played to the galleries with good treatment and screenplay. But these are missing. Treatment and Screenplay given follow typical Screenu Vaitla pattern, which at least I'm fed up with. They no longer appear intriguing. Direction is adequate in parts. Now coming to dialogues.... Dialogues look forced. Unnecessary rhymings are used in every single dialogue, due to which one might feel the redundancy of dialogues. Dialogues are sometimes of too much length.

Final Piece - First half is only partly good. Second half doesn't evoke any interest due to poor writing. You might feel that you're watching "Dookudu - 2" instead of "Aagadu". It is that repetitive. Sentiment doesn't work out. Comedy fails to evoke laughter many times. Dialogues are redundant. Many characters are given no importance. Watch it if you are a Die hard fan of Mahesh. Otherwise, please don't waste your valuable money and time. Give it a skip.

Totally Mahesh's A One Man Show.

Plus: Mahesh looks extremely dashing, and carries out his role of a cop supremely well. The way he goes about his character, and blends himself into the script, is quite amazing.

Negative: Aagadu has the same trademark Sreenu Vaitla set up and comedy of Past movies like Dookudu and Badshaw.Every Scene of the film is predictable. Climax of the film is quite simple, and is just hurried on to us.

Overall: With Aagadu, Mahesh Babu once again proves his super stardom. Right from the word go, it is Mahesh, Mahesh and only Mahesh throughout the film. Even though this film has routine similarities to Vaitla's previous flicks, entertaining comedy in the first half coupled with some decent music makes this film an OK family entertainer.

Dicky balisinaa HEN in front of chicken shop filmed cinema that's why it's attar flop indhi...

im mahesh babu fan but dis was d back log for mahesh babu dis year

The successful combination of Mahesh Babu and Sreenu Vaitla is back once again to entertain the audience with Aagadu. Tamannah is cast as the female lead, and 14 Reels are the producers. After a huge round of promotions, the film has opened in over 2000 screens today. Let's now see how the film is. Story:- Encounter specialist Shankar (Mahesh Babu) is posted to a small town called Bukkapattanam. The entire area is dominated by a dreaded don called Damodar (Sonu Sood), who runs illegal businesses by threatening the poor. Shankar decides to take things in his hands, and starts planning Damodar's decline. Midway through, he comes to know about a shocking truth about Damodar, which relates back to his family. What is that truth ? How does Shankar manage to destroy Damodar and his empire ? and Where does Saroja(Tamannah) and Delhi Suri(Brahmanandam) fit in this entire set up ?. To know answers to all these questions, you need to watch the film on big screen. Plus Points:- Aagadu is an out and out Mahesh Babu film. Right from the word go, it is Mahesh's histrionics which dominate the show completely. As usual, Mahesh looks extremely dashing, and carries out his role of a cop supremely well. The way he goes about his character, and blends himself into the script, is quite amazing. Interesting factor to watch out for is the fun element that he brings in his character, which is filled with punch dialogues and satires. Tamannah looks gorgeous as the village belle, and is a perfect Jodi for Mahesh Babu. First half of the film is highly entertaining, and brings in a lot of fun. Shruthi Haasan's song is a special bonus to the masses as she oozes sensuous charm and glamour. Brahmanandam brings in decent laughs in the second half, and his dance episode in particular is quite hilarious. Nasser is superb as the police constable, and his scenes with Mahesh and Vennela Kishore have come out quite well. Songs are entertaining and have also been shot well. Rajendra Prasad, Posani and Ashish Vidhyardhi are decent in their respective roles. Minus Points:- As expected, even Aagadu has the same trademark Sreenu Vaitla set up and comedy. The entire second half has been spoofed on his earlier films like Dookudu. Once the so called twists are unleashed, the film becomes predictable.

    Warning: Spoilers
If himmatwala was for Ajay devgn..then its aagadu for mahesh babu. There is no freshness in the plot. The narration of mb's movies to the comedians are a headache. Dookudu-2 can be a apt title for this nonsense. Brahmi dancing is quite common nowadays.Trying to troll many famous people, the director ends up fooling himself and the mighty fan base of the lead actor. Please wait for the home version if you haven't watched dookudu.Tamannaah also leaves you disappointed. Mahesh carries the movie on his shoulders and is the saving grace. As usual there is a heavy dose of silly action and the director taking a dig at the country's ace filmmakers.Go watch it if you have a lot of free worl to do this festive season. If you are a fan of the actor please wait for his next movie.

    Warning: Spoilers
This is yet another routine telugu masala film with a predictable plot and clichés all over. If you go into the cinemas expecting something different, you will be disappointed for sure. An orphan boy raised by a cop grows up good and becomes a cop and will be dealing with all the atrocities happening in a particular place with his wits. Later on he comes to know that the antagonist was responsible for killing his brother and takes his revenge. In addition to this you have inserted comedy tracks, insane humor and some absolutely soulless music. The leading lady's role kind of looks like a cameo and has got nothing to do with the story. The lead actor who is capable of giving some fine performance was wasted so to speak and shines only at very few parts. Writing and direction were so poor and routine. There is nothing great to talk about. Just save your time
  • Why mahesh had accepted this movie ??? I am not understanding why he had accepted . Because there is nothing new in this movie. Basically he selects good stories comparing to all the other heroes in the industry.

Being his fan i recommend not to take THAMAN as his music director once more. We are ANNOYED of his music .

But this movie is in and out MAHESH movie . There is no doubt in that. He kept the movie on his shoulders.

It's time for Srinu vaitla to change his movie mannerism. And he need's to be blamed for giving a Average movie to Mahesh.

And we are waiting for the next mahesh movie which is going to be released on Jan 2015.

    Warning: Spoilers
Its a known secrete that srinu vaitla shows the first look of any movie as action & energetic for crowed pulling but after sitting in movie hall everybody njoys the comedy of his own hero Brahmanandam and forgets who is the actual hero for the movie.

When it comes to mahesh babu, he built his comedy skills from Kaleja so there is no need to comment on his comedy acting, he is sure to make audience njoy his part.

Srinu vaitla may be bullied in drunken parties in his younger age, so we can surely expect a drink party scene in which either hero or others bullies a single person(the same in this movie also so no comments on this)

Story is based on a cop drama which we all can expect from the beginning of the movies tittle, first look, trailers. but this cop drama lagged lot in cop sequences and involved in mingling with common people of the town which made the angry energetic cop mahesh to be more comedy oriented cop.

After first half we can surely feel that there is no strong interval bang and no anxiety on the rest of the story that what will be next and disappointment for the story which we watched until interval.

Second half as usually brahmi enters and scenes are felt to be repeat of Dookudu movie.

Overall real disappointment. Songs are good like saroja, junction lo, thaman says he is fan of mahesh but failed to give an energetic bgm score.

    Warning: Spoilers
Director Srinu Vytla, like most Tollywood directors, is excessively fond of excess, dipping into his own box of formula cookies (Dhee, Ready, Dookudu), and finding the so-called plot for this latest venture, which, some say, should've been called Dookudutu (Dookudu 2, get it?).

Now, I'm not a fan of Dookudu, preferring instead to re-watch the entertaining portions of his earlier flicks, which are, by far, decent Tollywood fare, and hear me out now, for this is pure gospel for those uninitiated in the Tollywood ways - one can achieve this feat, provided one has set their expectations to digesting the piles of superhero-crap that's dished out by the screenplay at regular intervals, something that's a staple in almost all of Tollywood cinema, regardless of who they choose to cast - unexplained, irrelevant heroics that have naught to do with any law of physics or logic or coherence. I always reset my expectations to said level before trying to sit thru one of these escapist fares, so bear with me if you do decide to watch this one, or any other one of its ilk after reading this piece.

Now, for the flick. As I mentioned once above, I am NOT a fan of 'Dookudu'. So, how did I think this one compared against that, which almost had a template for this one to fill in? This one, by far, in my opinion, far outdoes former, esp. since it gives the protagonist so much more to say and do, and that responsibility rests easy on the hero's not- so-young(anymore) shoulders. He's in every frame, and laps up the attention, gets greedy for more, and says and does everything to ensure he keeps that position, and stays in frame while doing so. His dialogue- delivery and diction are the tools he's set to making his goal on this one, and boy do they rise up to his challenge admirably. That element was sorely needed in 'Dookudu', but wasn't present in the least (though another underrated flick, 'Khaleja', had it in spades).

Now, bear with me once again, since I'm going to ignore all that's wrong with this flick, since those variables are the ones gone permanently wrong in every Tollywood flick anyway. The sequences where the main lead monologues incessantly (thee title should've given everyone a clue, but apparently not to few), the quirk that sets each of the other support characters apart (one being a database of human profiles, another being offensively of a particular character type that's a gross insult to their entire community, esp. since its played for cruel laughs, yet another being a power broker of sorts who apparently can't get it when he's being played, yet another being so completely corrupt that he has his colleagues and reportees kowtow to his every weird/personal whim - the list doesn't quite end there) and the route taken to reach the final denouement make this one hell of an entertainer, though it takes twice as long to reach that goal.

On a side note, the producers, after making this and 'Dookudu', should really think about their name, since nothing ever gets completed in 14 reels. Also, in a movie of this sort, it seems as though the editor was not allowed to trim the material to ensure shorter run-time. Plus, in a movie of this length, what is the need for song-and-dance-routines? I'll never 'get' that, but then I'm in a minority over here.

For what it's worth, this is a decent watch, provided one (re)sets their expectations as advised earlier, and prepares to enjoy the lead's monologuing almost all of the way.
  • Hey!I am a fan of Mahesh.Today I saw Aagadu and after watching it I felt like why did i spend 300 bucks on this movie though there is my favorite hero in it.yes, most of people especially abroad like him because of his story selection and action.Mahesh blindly believed in Srinuvaitla as earlier he believed in Gunasekhar.Sruthi Hassan was better than Tamanna in the movie. There is forced comedy everywhere.Even dialogs are not up-to the mark.cinematography is good. The main flaw is story and screenplay. The director was close to this result at the time of Baadshah where he had to realize but he dint.on the whole if there is any fan like me then i suggest them not to see this movie.you will feel like why an actor like Mahesh selected aagadu.in the film they show attitude+gratitude =Aagadu. But I felt like gratitude =aagadu that thing which Mahesh has towards Srinuvaitla because of Dookudu.
  • Mixture of all previous movies. Nothing new. Worst acting by mahesh babu. He tried to act like pawan kalyan in gabbar singh. But he totally failed.

Excellent story, mind blowing twists . Actors performed very well, extraordinary music . It may not be successful at box office , but now it has achieved cult status .
  • Warning: Spoilers
Shankar (mahesh) is an orphan who is brought up by Raja Ram (rajendra prasad) and his goal is to become a honest and tough cop. He achieves that but an incident separates him from Raja Ram. Meanwhile, Bokkapatnam is a place ruled by the dreaded gangster Damodar (sonu sood) and Shankar is transferred there to restore things. There, he meets Saroja (tamannah) and falls in love with her. Whether Shankar is successful in his mission or not forms the rest.

The director has come up with a predictable storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was good and hilarious in parts. The dialogues were filled with many punches. The script was average but the screenplay was energetic. The background score was good but only two songs were worth humming. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing was crisp. Costumes were well designed and stylish to suit the backdrop while the art department was majestic. This is a total Mahesh Babu show and the way he dominated in every scene is impressive. Tamannah was a vision of beauty and her glamour feast is delightful. Sonu Sood was good, Brahmanandam was a standout, M S Narayana was great. Vennela Kishore was great form.Nasser was hilarious also. The others did their bit as required and added value.

The film comes from the house of Sreenu Vaitla who is known for his rip roaring comedy entertainers with action. The first half was very good and breezes smoothly with elements of comedy, action and romance. The interval bang was promising. The second half was more focused on the action and revenge element. In Vaitla's movies humour is a big ace and in this film its no different, there are many LOL moments, and the beginning father son sentiment also works well .Overall, this is a film more for mass audience and Mahesh fans. And they will not be disappointed, yes the film is a clichéd commercial entertainer, but the film never has dull moment, there is either something hilarious on screen, or nice mass action, and Mahesh Babu has easily given his most entertaining act. A recommended watch for pure mass entertainment
  • I know there's some mistake in this film but i think it's quite good. Even it is better than Mahesh babu latest film Sarileru neekavvaru. So,you can watch this film one time
  • Warning: Spoilers
It is not a hit,it is not a blockbuster,it is not a super duper hit but it is all beyond of this.Aagadu takes off on a high note with a powerful introduction scene of the protagonist, followed by a fight and an introduction song. Starting scenes of Mahesh as cop are very good and gives the movie a promising start. However Srinu Vaitla failed to maintain the same tempo even for a span of fifteen minutes. The graph of the film goes up and down with a good scene followed by two bad scenes.

In spite of the fluctuations, first half of the film works because of Mahesh Babu's introduction scenes, his love track with Tamanna and Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu spoof. Second half opens by revealing the actual plot of the movie. Later Srinu Vaitla shifts into his own zone of confusing comedy. Brahmanandam and Mahesh Babu tries to keep the audience interested in between all that routine fuss.

Mahesh and Brahmi do provide some moments of fun, but we are too bored of this 'Dhee' formula. Srinu Vaitla should have opted for doing something fresh from this. Instead he chose to play safe, but he couldn't pull it off this time. He has completely relied upon Mahesh Babu and few comedy scenes to bail him out. You will come out disappointed if you are expecting something on the level of Dookudu. This film is very inferior to it and only works because of Mahesh. He should solely carry this film at the box office too.

Few Movies irrespective of box office success they earn a place in audience heart . This is one such movie .
  • Aagadu Cinema initially Starts very slowly as if it is Shortfilim but it gains its speed by the introduction song The filim Starts with the bank roobery of chain of thieves Later the illegal construction of Sonusood....and Illegal business by his companions Mahesh enters the scenario and deals them in his style with mesmerising comedy M s Narayana helps Mahesh knowning about each person The part of Heroine Tammana is very small in cinema actually for name sake The later half of cinema deals with comedy of Brahmanandam(broker surya) Cinema is to be viewed for atmost comedy villain in this movie is not soooo much cruel Climax of brahmanadam spoof on all heros is highlight

a must watch movie and can be enjoyed with your friends and family. Mahesh acting is at peaks and story had no similarities with gabbar sing(remake of dabangg).Don't listen to antis they will give review without watching film and those are the best worst fellows in this world dear users who gave 1 star rating please watch movie and then give rating.rating should be given genuinely as it is life matter for actors directors and producers.Anyway no body can make audience to stop from going to a good film and a good film don't require antis support and can be stand as super hit.Hope aagadu will run successfully with super hit talk as already this movie break previous records with first day collections
  • Watched the movie on first day with full house in Hyderabad. Movie begins with Rajendraprasad as Police officer. Mahesh character name is Encounter Shankar. First half of the movie was extraordinary with mahesh superb punch dialogues, superb comedy tracks, Raghu Babu, Siddhappa Seenu and Posani's Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu spoof is super hilarious, soft family emotional scenes and peppy songs with incredible picturization. Second half starts with mahesh brother's family death flashback revealed by rajendarprasad. Mahesh stars strategic game with villains. Entertainment quotient is very high compared to first half. Brahmanandam steals the show in second half comedy. Parody dances by Brahmanandam in the pre-climax was hilarious. Nassar comedy was good. Ashish Vidyarthi did a fairly good job as gay. Tamanna got a limited role she looks good in songs. Sonu sood is prefect as villain for mahesh movies.

Over all Aagadu movie was nice to watch n enjoy. First half is blockbuster and second half is superhit.
  • Mahesh Babu's performance has won accolades with critics citing that the actor has carried the film on his shoulders. Tamannaah looks beautiful as a village girl, while Shruti Haasan charms the audience with her dance moves in a special song.

Brahmanandam's comedy evokes laughs in parts, while the other actors including Sonu Sood, Nassar, Vennela Kishore, Posani Krishna Murali, Rajendra Prasad and Ashish Vidhyarthi have done their parts well.

Mahesh gets into the skin of his character and does his job phenomenally. He doesn't go over the board in expressing his character's attitude. He strikes an instant rapport with almost everyone. His pairing with Tamannah was awaited with expectations but one feels Tamannah was not properly portrayed. She has got not many dialogues and everywhere, she is seen jiving with Mahesh," according to Indiaglitz.

"Rajendra Prasad plays a cameo. One wishes he had more screen space. Brahmi as 'Delhi' Suri is used as an instrument and the template is old. MS Narayana and Vennela Kishore entertain," the website stated.
