| A nearly perfect game
-- Played On --

Windows 8.1, i5-4460 @ 3.20 GHz, 8 GB RAM, Nvidia 680 graphics, Ssd drive, Xbox 360 controller.

-- Graphics --

There is a lot of settings for your graphics so you can find a good graphic with a stable frame rate for your PC. I don't have the most powerful PC but still got good graphic and stable FPS with tweaking the graphics to my liking. Went down from 1080p to 900p just to get a stable FPS on 60 and that is worth a lot more than 1080p and unstable FPS. With 60 FPS fighting feels fluid and more "responsive".

-- Sound --

The effect sounds and music are perfect. The voice acting are also top notch.

-- Controls --

They are also very good when you get into them. Of course there is a lot of buttons you have to learn. Different button layout on exploration, combat, swimming, horse riding and sailing. But the button layout always show on screen when you are in the different activity so that make the job a lot easier.

-- Combat --

You feel like a powerful Witcher but at the same time you feel like you have to work for it. Combining spells, swords, blocks and dodging are very fun. It can be very challenging with many enemies on a high difficulty setting. Whenever I lost in combat it felt like my mistake and not the game system letting me down. The only negative with the fighting was that the enemy had their specific fighting area and if you walked outside that area the enemy didn't followed you. So it was easy to manipulate the system when fighting powerful enemies.

-- Story --

For me I enjoyed the main story and it kept me interested through the entire game. But even with a good main story the side quest wasn't boring distractions. They almost felt like main story quest and while you were on a side quest you forgot all about the main quest until you finished your side quest.

-- Choices --

I love the choices in this game. There isn't a correct choice, just different choices with different outcomes. The consequences of your actions doesn't appear right away so can't save right before and test every outcome easily. That means when you are about to make a choice you consider every options a lot, but sometimes in action you don't get unlimited time to choose so then you have to take a hasty decision and live with your consequences.

-- Sex and Romance --

This game actually admits that sexual drive exist between humans and don't treat sex like you live in Duckburg as Mickey Mouse. It's not like Bethesda games where you chop off heads, blow out brains and comes home to your girl to have sex and the screen turns black. I love Bethesda games but that is breaking game immersion when sex is such a big part in peoples lives.

Even the romance and sex are very good created. You will feel strong connections to your girls and appreciate when Geralt get some sex. Geralt is one horny dog but the girls love to tease him.

In the romance part it's also big choices and consequences. It's created tastefully and realistic.
