You may know...
The world is secretly and discreetly visited by spirits of light from different planets. Each one of them has distinctive powers over humans. They're here to save the "Human Project". They must help their own "mission" in the form of a human with particular problems. Overcoming their defects and letting them know about their own powers will translate into saving the world from their own selves.
Little the spirits of light know about their formidable challenge. And little they know about their own formidable enemies.
The idea behind this telenovela is beautiful. The translation to script is good and the lessons - even when a bit too eagerly explained, are very good.
This is a long-haul series with a bunch of characters that seem to be developed to put the viewer in one of their very normal yet very complicated lives.
If you follow the whole thing, you'll find yourself amused, interested, moved and angry at how they depict ourselves. Sometimes it's pretty hard to watch yourself in the mirror.
In the end, it's one of the most daring essays on human nature ever to be released for TV. It's pretty simple to follow, but the depth of the analysis of our psyche is fantastic.
At some point, it may be cheesy and not so well acted -granted, many of the kids are not actors, but they've been pretty well trained.
The deep implications of all what happens in Aliados is very close to what happens in all walks of life, and explored with the sense of humor and charisma of Cris Morena, one of the most awarded and regarded personalities on the screen for more than 30 years.
It's already become a musical in Argentina with many of the same actors, something Cris is very well known for.
Worth to follow if you like reflecting yourself in a mirror with a small push to take action even when your life may seem to be perfect. I would recommend to watch this series surrounded by family, especially teens...
