| Comedy, Family
The summer holidays begin, Nicolas and his family travel to the seaside where a whole new series of adventures await them.
There are two inconsistencies between this film and its predecessor, Little Nicholas (2009)
1. Nicolas' father smokes a pipe in this film, but was a non-smoker in the other.
2. There is no mention of Nicolas' sister, born at the end of the previous film.
The Hotel holds a masked ball, 'Le grand Bal masqué', but none of the guests is wearing a mask. It is a costume ball rather than a masked ball.
Credits at the start and finish of the film appear on holiday postcards. The credits at the beginning also include some animations on the cards.
