Gave this show a go after seeing the trailer. Was a bit dubious when the first episode started. Wasn't sure what to make of it. But gradually as the episode went on, little bits & pieces actually made me laugh out loud. Only intended to watch one episode before bed. I've ended up binge watching every episode. To say this show is well written would be an understatement. It's hilariously funny & poignant in equal measure. The characters have great depth and the actors bring them to life perfectly. I would definitely recommend giving this show a go. The ending was outstanding. I really hope there's a second series. Well done all involved.
Laughed from the start to the finish. So ridiculously silly but so bloody funny. Not normally a fan of Danny Dyer, but the casting is impeccable. Yes, the language is a bit fruity, but you can actually imagine these people speaking this way. Personally, bad language... Or language as I like to call it (who says it's bad) doesn't bother me. In this instance it enhances the narrative. If you enjoy farcical sweaty comedy and have previously enjoyed Brassic give it a go, I don't think you'll be disappointed. If swearing offends then maybe give it a miss, although I think you'll be missing a gem. I really hope they do more.
Am not one to give a 10 for anything tbh, but this was made for Danny to play, they kept it short so it did'nt become too much at once, and leaves you wanting more.
Dyer has never been a great actor generaly, but he uses what he has learnt over the yrs and puts it to good use in this series making you feel it was made for him, which it probably was lol Starts off good, and just gets better every episode. Normaly at best i may have a slight smile at situation comedies like this, or have to switch off halfway thru the pilot due to insistance on canned laughter every other sentence as if telling us when we should laught even tho it's not actually fuunny, but this doesn't have that rubbish and does'nt need it,you either find the writing funny or you don't, and i suspect like myself most will find something to laugh about every episode mulitiple times like i did, a reccomended watch even if Dyers normal lack of acting abilities does normaly put yopu off, give this a chance as he has upped his game for this one ;P.

I love both Ryan Sampson and Danny Dyer so thought this would be good. The first episode was certainly different but the more you watch, the more you are drawn in. It's definitely not for everyone but if like me you enjoy a giggle, are not easily offended and have no issue with swearing (and the c-word) then seriously give this a go. Not only humorous, it does get a bit deep at times. The actors play the parts well and Sampson and Dyer are an unlikely combination, but it works really well... a modern Del Boy and Rodney 😀
Although it is a six parter, be prepared that you may want to binge it... I did!
I'm only halfway through this series so far and am really enjoying this. I cannot understand the bad reviews at all! I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before starting it as it may have put me off watching.
It has a great cast, it's easy to watch, and quite funny! Those reviews that are saying Danny Dyer is playing Danny Dyer clearly haven't got past the first episode. He may have used his own accent, but his character is entirely different!
Can't wait to finish this and I hope it gets renewed for a second season.
Seems to me that this show is like marmite, you're either going to love it or hate it. But give it a try and don't quit on the first episode!!!
