  • Jayasurya excels as the lead character of the ambitious young lad who gets embroiled in a money-laundering business on pigs & their slaughter.

What could've been documented as the grave state of the slaughterhouses and how it suppresses activists without mercy has been amateurishly brought out as a film with no zero to no entertainment factor involved. There are songs, actresses, wits, but they are so damn boring, there is a strong chance people may stop it midway.

The plot sure has potential, but with a feeble screenplay & disastrous framework & writing, Pigman is just another failure in Malayalam cinema. It is real shame for the makers to have adopted an award-winning story into such a gimmick. Dramas on social causes must be fathomable & not mainstreamed.

BOTTOM LINE: Not recommended! But if you are into art-house flicks which talk deep about social issue (animal slaughter), go have a look.
