  • Warning: Spoilers
Ever since Steven Hillenburg left after the critical success and the commercial success of the Spongebob Squarepants movie, Nick (and the other company dumb enough to band many videos/YTPs with Spongebob (No offense)) found new writers and a new director, but ultimately, Spongebob Squarepants lost its perfect quality, fresh ideas, and good life lessons. This has proved Hillenburg's point, although he was okay with the show running with some new blood. This reviewed episode is one of the worst episodes ever made.

Okay. That came out of nowhere, but that's a starting point for season 4. Hillenburg might have wrote some of the scripts for the modern episode, but fot some reasons, it doesn't feel like the older, funnier ones. It continues to show as the series loses everything that made it fun and watchable.

Let's review the story of this piece of inaccurate garbage. Wait..... I am reviewing this alone.... Oh well.

    Summary:

It started with the narrator explaining something that was supposed to be terrifying, but ends up being annoying. After that, it shows SpongeBob and Patrick on the beach. Then they play with an unknown purple substance after they realize they were sitting on it.

After a short complaint, Sandy enters and says the goo (that's what they named it) is dangerous, but they ignored her later on and use it for many uses, which is the only unique part about the goo, to me that is. Plankton heard what Sandy said about the goo, and went after it.

Spongebob, Patrick, and Sandy went to obtain a sample from the goo bubble, and after that, the goo bubble rises. They realize that Plankton was behind all this. After failing to stop him, they went to get a huge bubble bottle, while Plankton threatens to pop the goo if Mr. Krabs refuses to surrender the formula. Spongebob and his 2 friends created a temporary bubble warrior, but that was a failure as well.

Mr. Krabs gives him the formula, but Plankton pop the bubble of goo, and was blown up by a fake formula. Then everyone gets cleaned up at the end.

Not here's what I think of this episode. You don't have to agree with me since it's my opinion.

    My Thoughts:

    1. This is one of the episodes where Sandy was an idiot. She said the goo was lethal, and can destroy the city. Well at the end, it turns out that the goo was not dangerous, and it didn't destroy bikini bottom, so this whole build-up for the climax is pointless. If the goo was dangerous, it would most likely have a chemical reaction with anything it gets in contact with, maybe be a little acidic, although that won't make any sense at all. In this episode, this situation proves that Sandy is not as smart as she thinks. In fact, she's losing her knowledge as the series goes on.

    2. When Mr. Krabs refuse to give Plankton the Krabby Patty formula, Everyone threaten him with the destruction of the Krusty Krab? Even the citizen have no thinking ability? If I can remember, even in the modern version, Seldom J. Plankton will still double-crossed you, even if you gave him something he's looking for. They should have gotten the police, or the military. Wait..... That leads to more destruction.

    3. Once again, everything is stupid, which would be okay if the episode has a better plot, and if it's done right. This episode has a bad storyline, horrible solutions, weak jokes, boring sequences, poor action-pack scenes, terrible examination, and inaccurate calculations. If you've seen the promo video for this episode, that video was a lie. If you want to see something better, I wouldn't recommend this junk.

    Final Verdict

I would've gave this a 0 out of 10, but that wasn't part of this Verdict system, so I'll give this episode a 1 out of 10, meaning that even with a few good things, I believe that this episode should have never existed.
