After a threat from the tiger Shere Khan forces him to flee the jungle, a man-cub named Mowgli embarks on a journey of self discovery with the help of panther Bagheera and free-spirited bear Baloo.
Neel Sethi said that since he never actually worked with real animals on-set during filming, Director Jon Favreau would on occasion stand in for where the animals would be present, most notably as Shere Khan lunging out from the tall grass.
Many strange tales are told of this jungle, but none so strange as the tale of the cub we call Mowgli.
Mowgli is seen drinking from the waterhole, but in reality humans would die from drinking water in the wild as it would be filthy and would cause illnesses like chorea. Although there is clean water in the wild, the chances of Mowgli finding it would be slim, especially when miles away from a river.
The Disney castle logo shrinks into jungle foliage as the camera pulls back but the film title moves off-screen left as the camera adds pan right motion to its pullback, panning first to a Bambi scene and then to a jungle scene.
