I'm not really sure what to day about this show. I watch 'Uncle Grandpa' as a child and I can only say that I liked it. It's random, it's funny on some moments and it's creative. But sometimes, it gets pretty annoying. Some of the jokes repeat them selfs and I don't really find it funny.
It's been almost 4 years since I've watched the show and I really can't say more about this show because it's been so long.
I give this a 6 out of 10 stars. Again, I'm not sure what to say about this show other than its weird and random, just as intended.

I actually started watching Uncle Grandpa after hearing a lot of hate about it, and to be honest I watched it and was wondering "this isn't so bad, I like it. What's the problem with it?"
At first i assumed it was maybe Uncle Grandpa's design, because i admit his design isn't exactly eye-pleasing. But it's unique and the creator(s) decided to think outside of the box, which is respectable. It's hard to find cartoon shows these days that REALLY try to make their own character, not make something stereotypical/generic just to please people. I personally dislike rip off characters, so i really appreciated the true effort they put into him. Also, after a while of watching the show his look really grew on me.
Now that I've read some of these reviews, i realized it's basically people's preferences and nothing else.
Joke wise, i'm biased because i honestly don't find most cartoon humor laughable. It's all been the same, if it's not an adult cartoon then the humor is basically puns, hidden adult jokes and a silly face or two that people like to screenshot and then post on social media. I didn't find Uncle Grandpa's humor any worse or different than the others I've seen. So i can't really comment on that.
But as for animation, i don't understand why people hate it. It's some of the best modern cartoon animation I've seen! There are little mistakes, it's not glitchy or awkward, and it's pretty smooth. Honestly, the animation is better than most modern cartoons I've watched. Gravity falls and Steven universe for example, usually have somewhat cringy and blocky animation. Of course, i love those shows and i'm not dissing them but what i'm saying is that Uncle grandpa's animation is in comparison smoother and i'm confused as to why people dislike it??? It's hard to make smooth animation for every episode of an ongoing show, so those who do have my respect.
As for characters, I again honestly really respect the fact they didn't try to create something like everyone else and just did their own thing. Pizza Steve might me just a slice of pizza with sunglasses on, but so what? I mean, it's not like they were lazy about it, they add more detail to Steve, like his slightly melted cheeze drops and they give him a good solid personality that makes up for the simplicity of his design. I'm a little upset that Mister Gus is literately ripped off Godzilla but i like his personalty as well. And his deep voice. And belly bag makes sense for Uncle Grandpa to have at least, how could we have uncle grandpa without a magical talking bag that can store stuff?? Giant Realistic Flying Tiger may be google images but that's unique to use in a show and i honestly think the facial expressions they use for a tiger are funny. Overall the characters seem to be fine, honesty i was more grossed out and disappointed by some adventure time characters than any ug one. Then again it's mostly preference, so i can't really judge either.
Concerning the weirdness, i believe it's unique and i definitely didn't think of adventure time when i saw it. In my opinion, i think the two shows have a completely different style of weird. Adventure time is more lore based, and the weirdness is more serious and limited because of that. In Uncle Grandpa, anything can happen! It's a kind of weirdness that doesn't limit the makers and lets them make creative episodes to their liking. They don't have a specific world lore and it doesn't have rhyme or reason, and i like it. Again, i don't see shows like that very much and it's very refreshing to see something that isn't redundant to other creations.
I'm not sure what else you guys wrote but maybe it just takes someone with a little open mind to appreciate the show, my little sister liked it and i knew a teen who liked it a few years back, so it's probably just all preferences and opinions. For example, i'm not a big fan of adult cartoons but people my age LOVE that stuff, so i'm not to judge. So really, i suggest you check out an episode or two yourself instead of basing your opinions off of others.

Crap, it's what it is... People look at it and say "Oh no, it's just a different type of humor" It's not. It's an attempt at humor, it's trying to be weird! Like, I feel like he's trying to be C.H. Greenblatt or something, where it's stupid, yet kind of cool. In that show it works, word puns and creative characters, with Likable characters, then, there is this.... Let me break it down
Animation: WTF. No really, WTF, it does not make sense, the person that made this crap thinks that because Adventure Time exists, you can take anything and just, I don't know, make it's body rip into two other beings.
Art: It's hideous, I mean even animations where the art is made to be ugly, like Ren and Stimpy, Flapjack, etc, it is better looking than this, I mean there is having a unique style, and then just putting crap out on a table and saying "IT'S ERT!!!! LOL LOOK HOW GRATE IT ES!"
Writing/Directing: why, why does this exist? no really? The jokes are so forced, it's sick, I feel like the people decided to breed some new weird pot plant and pass it around watching old crappy movies, then after that, would right down things that are in their brain.
It's bad, don't even watch it.

This show. This. SHOW! I first heard about the show from my friend during lunch. He said, "Hey, I found this weird show on CN today while I was randomly searching through it. It's called Uncle Grandpa." Of course, I found the title both weird and disgusting, as it's referencing incest. So I searched up an episode, and instantly cried. What has happened to Cartoon Network? Adventure Time is kinda like this show, but it has something better than this show. The humor is funny and the characters are interesting. The characters in Uncle Grandpa, including the titular character himself, are annoying and hard to watch in action. The characters are as follows:
A realistic flying tiger (Obviously ripped from Google.)
Uncle Grandpa
Pizza Steve (Yep.)
Glen the Dinosaur
Belly Bag (You heard me right, a fanny pack is a character.)
Apparently, Uncle Grandpa is everyone's uncle and grandfather. He's the town's guidance counselor, and tells people what not to do. The problem is, he's even worse then the kids! He tells an obese kid that it's okay to be fat (even though it's not) and even decides to be "Belly Brothers" with the kid. The show uses surreal humor, like most kids shows these days (sadly). The surreal is a bit disturbing, as in one scene, the fat kid is sweating... OUT OF HIS NIPPLES! The humor and characters are stupid, retarded, and all and all, just bad. This show should be taken off the air, and should be forgotten.

CN has had a hole in its lineup for some time. Ren & Stimpy left large shoes to fill and Uncle Grandpa trods about the kitchen in daddy's shoes making noise and pretending to be grown up.
First, let me say that I am a huge fan of the absurd and surreal. Part of me died the day Ren & Stimpy aired last. I find Adventure Time to be wonderfully creative and clever. I say this to clarify that I am not hating UG for its genre, it's absurdity, its reliance on visual gags, and puns. My dislike comes from its failure to gel, to coalesce as a concept.
Some of the gags and characters are clever, highly creative and just plain wonderful. Their presence in the same segments are poorly contrived while others fall flat or are telegraphed so badly you can see it coming and just wait for it to be over. Also, it lacks a unifying factor as part of the basic premise or even each episode's plot like Adventure Time or Regular Show. I love Realistic Flying Tiger as a character both conceptually and visually. Pizza Steve is an amazing concept of a character and there is so much upside potential to him, but it goes unrealized.
The worst character is, unfortunately the title character. Uncle Grandpa is clearly based on the absurdity of the juxtaposition of the words. "Uncle Grandpa" is both absurd and, like Ren & Stimpy, suggestive and a bit naughty. In fact, it is a straight rip off of the aforementioned. Uncle Grandpa was a character briefly mentioned in an episode of R&S as a jab at southern, rural culture implying inbreeding.
This new iteration of Uncle Grandpa looks like a solution in search of a problem. It is painfully obvious that they started with the name and reverse engineered a character that matched it but lacked the incestuous overtones and edginess of the first edition. The premise that we have to swallow to understand the existence of a character named Uncle Grandpa is amorphous, poorly defined, and noncommittal. If we're to accept such a character, commit and go in a direction.
The creator seems to be torn between Uncle Grandpa being an incompetent boob and a competent savior or the day. We cannot decide who he is or how he operates, what motivates him and how he works. The whole show just seems like a collection of sight and word gags thrown together into a poorly stitched quilt of the absurd. This comes from a person who still hasn't forgiven CN for canceling Space Ghost Coast to Coast.
The show would better execute as a series of vignettes ala Robot Chicken and leave the title character in the title.

Many reviews say that the show is dumb, or stupid. I say yea.....and its amazing!!! Uncle grandpa is just a silly fun show that completes the 1 and only rule for comedy and that's the ability to make you laugh. The fact that its stupid is why it's so funny. I haven't laughed this hard at a show since the first time I saw Axe Cop. The personalities of the different characters interacting with each other along with dumb silly illogical humor is comedy gold in my eyes. Give the show time and people will realize how great it is. I constantly hear people talking about the old cartoon network with ed ed and eddy and fosters home for imaginary friends along with other shows but they fail to realize that the humor in those shows are very similar to uncle grandpa. eating gravy from your pocket or blue with his paddle balls.... they're'e silly dumb shows too
This show is by far the most random show ever I have ever seen, with it's ultimate weirdness and bizarre randomness you can't take the show seriously, but it is surprisingly good to watch.
The stories and morals don't make any sense, but that's what the show is. It's basically a random mess, and that's what the show is suppose to be. Unlike shows like "Pickle & Peanut", this is intentionally random and ridiculous.
This is the Marmite of cartoons, you either love it or hate it, and I love it. You can't help, but want an Uncle or Grandpa like Uncle Grandpa.
Unlike Pickle & Peanut and Breadwinners, the stock footage and photo shop pictures are necessary.

I not going to lie, i was really looking forward to this show. The previews and 2007 pilot i found on Youtube had my hopes up but, like a Hippo going number 2, takes a huge @#1$ on my expectations!
I could feel my brain cells dying in there. What did Cartoon Network expect to get out of this! The premiere was down right awful and compared to the 2007 pilot, it looks like the writers and producers were high on crack than they were 6 years ago!
If you thought The Annoying Orange, Johnny Test(you heard me!), and Fried Dynamite was bad, then you clearly hadn't seen Uncle Grandpa. I won't spoil anything but, its just bad. Hopefully Steven Universe and Clarence won't be as rancid as Uncle Grandpa.

I registered to this site solely to leave this review. It leaves me utterly stunned how such a gem in the recent tide of mediocrity gets so much hatred.
I love the show uncle grandpa. In fact its difficult for me to understand how this show isn't given the due it deserves, its all about letting go and just have fun. I think a problem with some of the haters out there is they are too caught up in over-analyzing the show. I didn't think it was possible for people to be snobby about the cartoons they watch.
Uncle Grandpa is about fun! If you grew up in the 90s like I did this show masterfully touches on so many familiar facets of nostalgia, even down to the color choice, art style and the music. I can tell the animators had just as much fun making it as I do watching it. It takes so many old familiar clichés and flips them on their head to most amusing results.
It's about letting go. The stuff they deem trash such as tiger's poor animations shoots right over their heads but that was the point. Its MEANT to be bad, that's what makes it humorous! My only fault with uncle grandpa was the Christmas episode when they attempted to establish some back story with him and Santa. I didn't like that Santa was made out to be a petty lofty jerk or his insinuating uncle grandpa is stupid. Even if it is an opinion the fact that I can't tell if uncle grandpa is an idiot or a genius, that blurred line is just one of his many charms.
I watch this show everyday and i'm dying for many many more episodes they can't produce them fast enough. This show is legendary, genius in fact maybe ahead of its time. Why this show doesn't have cult status right now blows my mind.

When I saw this show on a commercial back in summer 2013, I had high hopes for it...when it was released, it was bad. BUT, the show has gotten much better. People shouldn't look for the bad episodes of a series, they should look for the good ones, and this show has a lot of both. I really didn't like Belly Bros. too much, but I really liked the internet troll episode.
So, is the show perfect? Far from it.
Is it good or at least worth it? Absolutely. At least see some episodes of the show before you decide to base your opinion based off of all the hate the show gets.

You know something, I'm so glad that this show got cancelled because IT WAS EXTREMELY AWFUL! I mean seriously, this show was an absolute dumpster fire and you have Uncle Grandpa guy say good morning, even when it's not morning! It's SO DANG ANNOYING! And just the plotline and everything else about it is horrible. I will never watch this crap again. It gave me nightmares, and it will to you.

I dislike this show. I love Adventure Time, Regular Show and their ilk, and I think that one of the main problems is that this show is trying TOO hard to be them.
The characters are awful. Their personalities are just terrible, and the voices begin to drive me crazy after just a few minutes. The best character is easily Giant Realistic Flying Tiger, who does not speak and can at least get a chuckle every now and again.
The plot is nothing special, Uncle Grandpa crashes into things (every time) and finds a kid to help. He bumbles his way through the entire episode annoying the kid more and more until they stop being annoyed and accept him. No real lesson learned, they just stop complaining.
The music is utterly forgettable. I don't even remember if there is music and I've seen several episodes now.
The art is alright. At the very least the character designs are somewhat original, but other shows like The Amazing World of Gumball have far better and more varied design. The animation and backgrounds are passable, but Steven Universe completely blows it out of the water.
In summation, bland story + horribly annoying characters = Watch Steven Universe instead.

I love the surreal humor and wacky characters! My favorite parts are when Uncle grandpa does physically impossible stuff but no one says anything about it. He's like a demi god or an SCP and this show is highly amusing.

This show is an example of how cartoon network is so desperate to compensate their lack of ideas, in facts its obviously copycatted from adventure time, regular show and problem solverz; with even less sense, horrible animation and with annoying characters, starting with that thing with a Penis-like head (like a subliminal message) called uncle grandpa, who's "name" also seems something related to the incest. In synthesis this show feels like a stupid cheap bunch of randomness, void of any kind of good teachement (it seems like it even promotes bad messages, telling that being fat is cool for a child when even the most neglecting parent knows that is unhealthy and that can cause very dangerous effects on the health of the child), without any plot, and completely uncreative: an example also of how cartoon network is going out of ideas. If i was a parent i would never let my kids watching something like this, and i sincerely can't imagine a good parent who would.

Uncle Grandpa takes a bit to get used to, but if Salvador Dali made a cartoon it would look like this. I think the comments on the show are almost as funny as the show, because it appears people are looking for something more linear and structured, and guess what? This isn't that sort of show, it's just a free for all. And poor Mr Gus, and egotistical Pizza Steve, and Giant Realistic Flying Tiger - all great characters, all great fun.You actually don't know what to expect - like the episode where UG becomes the tire of his RV, or when Mr. Gus saves the crew because of his ridiculous pair of "jorts". Long live Uncle Grandpa, the trippiest show out there.

I can't believe I used to watch this show when I was like 14. Now I am 18 and looking back it's literally one of the worst shows coming out of cartoon network but at least its not unbearable like Teen Titans Go!. But its still insulting to my intelligence like the Think and luxurious hair segment.
The animation and the designs are nothing but trash and the voice actors i feel sorry for them.
Uncle Grandpa is just an annoying character who just behaves like a 5 year old man child and his catch fraz "Good Morning!" is just stupid.
