    It WILL surprise you-

From Space balls to Family Guy, SW parodies abound. Who'd guessed a child's cartoon could shame the others so well? The parallel plot was a great concept but the musical numbers, especially Candace's rant, will haunt you forever. IMHO, any upset die hard SW fans are simply jealous that it was such creative genius.

While it turned out better that it has any right to, it should had never been done in the first place.

While it turned out better that it has any right to, it should had never been done in the first place. A highligth for Phineas and Ferb, but an infamous moment for Star Wars. It's almost as akward as cross-overing with Jesus from the Bible Shared Universe.

From reading here Dee Bradley Baker, who is the clones in The Clone Wars animated series voices someone, and Simon Pegg and other person did ended as minor roles on The Force Awakens, so at least there's a miniscule redeeming nerd factor.

However, had they at least got Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, or Anthony Daniels from the s parodied flm involved, then the special at least would have at least some nerd factor, and the official blessing from the cast, that would have prevented this from feeling like an insulting devaluation of the Star Wars franchise.

Had they dressed the characters as Star Wars characters, and reenacted the film ould have been less insulting. The Phineas and Ferb characters, are not iconic enough to deserve to meet Luke Skywalker. And them meeting despite not deserving it is what feels insulting.

Also why does Ferb becomes part of Maul's species when evil?

Wonderful addition to Star Wars stories

I don't know the legal parameters for retelling of stories, but with Disney's acquiring of Lucasfilm in 2012, I was assuming Phineas and Ferb would be something special -- and we weren't disappointed. Grandparents now, we were in our teens when Star Wars IV first appeared. We have watched and enjoyed all the movies over the years. We have also enjoyed Phineas & Ferb with our family, and even by ourselves.

This story focuses on all the favourite characters existing in the 'Star Wars' universe. Candace is with the Empire, as a good-guy, and 'Darthenshmirtz' is with the Empire, as a bad-guy, and the boys are on Tatooine happy going no where else. Isabella trades in her ribbon for goggles and Agent 'P' continues to save the day.

Your Star Wars memories are threaded into this storyline in a very clever and funny way. All adults will enjoy this production and your young members will love the story style and the music they expect from each episode. Well done Disney.

"None of this is Canon so just relax"

How was this hour special actually so good when it has no right to be? It's pretty hard to make a faithful combination of two properties like this but it does a great job managing both. Phineas and Ferb has a lot of good meta humor and it translates over to this special; I was laughing a lot at this. I love when these meta takes on properties works out so well. In many ways it feels like a south park episode in the way they cleverly add a star wars feel to a longer phineas and ferb episode. Some people are really upset that it exists because it ruins star wars and that's a pretty stupid reason to be upset honestly. If you think they were actually trying to expand the star wars universe with this episode you are out of it. Honestly Phineas and Ferb itself isn't really a show with a big story and a bunch of development and from the get go it's pretty clear the show is just for entertainment and nothing else really. It's just wholesome and charming at the end of the day and it's not trying to be anything serious. So stop treating it like it is, even if this episode doesn't add anything to the overall Phineas and Ferb world. I just ended up having fun at the end of the day and that's all I want out of something from Phineas and Ferb.

Look ma, we have star wars

Disney flexing what they bought. This special is both fun but also a bit obnoxious. It´s mostly harmless fun though and overall a good and fun time.

Phineas and Ferb tell their side of the story during the events of the original Star Wars movie.

In general the humor is pretty good and I love that this takes place as the background to the original star wars movie. When it makes invasive humor it´s the best but some of the jokes are not good in my opinion. When the humor becomes "this is star wars" it´s not really jokes more than Disney just reassuring they own star wars.

It´s a fast little thing and I liked my time here. I don't think it´s anything incredible but it´s a fun little distraction.

I loved how the characters became good stand ins. Even characters you might not expect in the role such as Isabella as Han Solo. There are also a genuine surprise here I did not expect that got to me and I´m glad they didn't play this as safe as they could.

As always the songs and music are amazing. The team has a rhythmic sense that just creates these catchy tunes.

It´s a fun little thing this one. Nothing incredible, but a fun little distraction.

    • Trivia
Creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff 'Swampy' Marsh decided that Star Wars spoofs had already been done so much that they decided to leave the original film alone and instead add Phineas and Ferb as characters coexisting at the same time. According to them it is possible to cut the 1977 film and this TV special together into one chronological story.
