Oscar-winning indie studio Neon emerged as the big winner at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association’s 50th annual selections of the best films and performances, clinching top honors for two of its major contenders: the poignant dramedy “Anora” and the politically-charged thriller “The Seed of the Sacred Fig.”

There are several movies from over the years in which a real musician stars as themselves, but only a few are also unexpected heroes. Surprise celebrity cameos in movies are always exciting, whether they’re playing a character or a version of themselves. Appearances from musicians are often a great surprise because, most of the time, these popular figures don’t have any notable acting ability, which makes it even more intriguing. While some musicians are the subject of their biopics, and occasionally feature as themselves, it’s always strange to see a real-life person in a fictional movie world. Indiana Jones is returning to the world of video games for the first time in a decade in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. The game shows every classic hallmark of an Indy adventure: brown fedoras, trusty whips, foreign lands, witty love interests, famous treasures, and Nazis. Once again, some timeless villains are making an appearance to vie with Indiana Jones for holy relics and priceless artifacts.

While it might seem a bit tired to keep bringing back the same story elements for yet another Indiana Jones story, keeping the classic villains is the right move. The Great Circle is Indy’s first big video game outing in a long time, since his last game, the Facebook game Indiana Jones Adventure World, doesn’t exactly count as an Aaa adventure. With such an outing on the small screen, it makes sense that The Great Circle is avoiding the mistakes of past movies.

The minds behind the critically acclaimed Love, Death & Robots have turned their attention to the world of video gaming with Amazon MGM Studio’s Secret Level. This is an anthology that celebrates multiple games across different genres and history.

Sad news from the world of television, as Paul Teal has passed away at the age of 35.

Teal had a recurring role on the popular teen drama One Tree Hill, which ran on the WB and the CW from 2003 to 2012.

News of his passing comes to us courtesy of his fiancee, Emilia Torello.

“The most thoughtful, inspiring, driven, self-disciplined, loving man passed away,” Torello wrote on Instagram.

“Paul, you were my soulmate, my soon-to-be-husband, my rock, and my future. You filled my lungs with laughter, my stomach with butterflies, and my heart with love. You were taken too soon, in a battle that you fought bravely without fail,” she continued, adding:

“While a part of me died with you, I promise to fight to find joy in life as hard as you fought to live every single day.
