The premise and plot of the movie are paper thin, but it's a parody of a underdog sports movie. It's a send up of the unlikely sport of bowling from the black perspective. This made for some very funny moments of racial humor. "That's why I scream all my prayers.
Ain't that right FATHER GOD!?"
The main characters were likeable even though they are idiots. And along with Paul Reiser and Susan Sarandon there is a good group of comedian cameos that add some laughs.
I'm sure the cast and crew had a blast making this, and you can clearly tell this was a fun personal project. I'm happy for all involved that you were able to bring this one over the finish line.

Me and my friends really enjoyed this movie, we had a lot of laughs while watching the movie. Me and my friends enjoy bowling and to see they made a of movie like this truly brings us joy. We aren't pro bowlers yet but this movie looks more into the competitive side of bowling. You don't see a lot of movies like this anymore it's on the dorky and funny side so if you don't want to have a few laughs don't watch it.
I hope the writers got the recognition they deserved since it's definitely a good movie, might not be everyone's cup of tea but it doesn't hurt to watch it and I'm sure you'll see how funny this movie truly is.

I put off watching this because I thought it was just another silly movie where a few actors enjoy themselves making it, while the audience rolls their eyes, but it was deliberately made that way, and it had an underlying, understated quality that shone through and took me quite by surprise. I guess I should have known better with D'Arcy Carden and Susan Sarandon starring in it.
Shameik Moore is a very talented actor with surprisingly good moves and comedic timing, and I can see why these two high-profile actresses were happy to work with him.
I had a good time with this and didn't get bored once. I've given it a 6/10, but I wanted to give a 6.5.

I am 39 minutes and I can already feel my IQ having dropped 20 points.
I... I don't understand. How did this film get released? How did any of the actors agree to be in it? How did the writer ever get a job?
The film is basically about being stupid. The main character is shirtless for no reason. It has all the hallmarks of a bad 80s underdog movie, but none of the charm or appeal.
Is it an insult to bowling? To black people? Or merely an insult to anyone who worked on it?
I am glad we are in a digital age, because this would have been a criminal waste of celluloid.
I do hope the main writer and directors of this film get fired from every possible guild.
Do NOT waste your time.
