This was the first film produced by International Films Distributing Agency, a Hong Kong sister company to the Malaysian distribution company with the slightly different name International Film Distribution Agency. Generally known as International Films, the company was founded by
Loke Wan Tho, and was owned by him and his Cathay Organisation in Singapore. In 1956 the company changed its name to Motion Picture & General Investment Company, generally known as MP&GI, and grew to become one of Hong Kong's major film production companies. After the tragic death of Mr. Loke in 1964, the company was renamed Cathay Organisation (HK) in 1965.
