In the episode, Fudge-pocalypse, our main characters try to survive an epidemic they started in the beginning of the episode. The story is really weak because we've seen this plot done before in animation (i.e. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs). The jokes are not funny and a the jokes they could've used for the character Banana in this episode are missed opportunities. Speaking of the characters, they offer nothing to like and come across as bland and/or annoying. Pig is Chowder from the Cartoon Network show of the same name as he'll eat anything and is a total scatterbrain. Goat is a bland character with no personality of her own, and serves as the love interest to Cricket. Banana is full of himself and that's all his character is; nothing more nothing less. Last but not least there's Cricket, who's an inventor and has a crush on Goat because potatoes. This show's worst aspect has got to be the animation; it's hideous and all around disgusting. I don't recommend this to children, especially to those with weak stomachs.

This show is nothing like "Ren and Stimpy" where that show had creative settings and cohesive writing (so stop comparing that show to this as if this show is just as good in quality). Nothing in this show makes any sense whatsoever. It's characters are underdeveloped, the writing is all over the place, and it's use of toilet humor is just revolting. I don't recall laughing at any of the jokes as they made no logical sense other than to be disgusting and again I couldn't get past the ugly animation. Heck even the name of this show is barely a tittle. "Pig Goat Banana Cricket"? Did some one forget to insert commas? Then again judging by the intelligence of this show why should I even care? This show must have been intended for ages embryo to one. It's double insulting that this show has been renewed for another season. Is Nick trying to ruin themselves?

starmotion22 July 2015There's going to be spoilers. Ever since I've watched the pilot and heard that it was going to aired Nickelodeon I got excited. Nickelodeon has done well ever since they aired Harvey Beaks and made The SpongeBob Movie Sponge Out of Water,but now the first two episodes of Nickelodeon newest animated show "Pig Goat Banana Cricket", created by David Charles Cooper and John F. Ryan . the show about this for roommates named Pig , Goat , Banana,Cricket ,and they live in their treehouse that next to a city that the series have'nt establish name.
The first episode is named " Pig Goat Banana Cricket High Five! ", the episode begins when Pig is out of pickles so he invites the other roommates to go "Pickle shopping",but when the others decline the offer ,so Pig went to the store that sells pickles named "Pickle Mart. Next,, there is Goat"s story of trying to sing but nobody will listen. there's Banana"s story of being a Forest Ranger and him guiding kids through the forest or he'll lose his job,and then there is Cricket's story of trying to impress Goat with his invents .For the first episode this needs some improvement . all of the four stories connected but its structure is the problem,it feels like the episode ends a story quickly or keep a story going ,it doesn't transition to story to back to story,but with that there are some funny lines and Pig is the most likable and funny character of the group , the episode is okay.
The second episode is named " Fudgepocalypse" , this episode is about "Pig's love for fudge bubbles triggers a fudge deluge of doom,Goat uses her ark to save the town from rising fudge waters; Banana is taken by pirates, Cricket rebuilds his life".Before I say anything else ,I just want to say the art style is awesome,it remind me of classic Nicktoons like Rugrats , Rocko's Modern Life ,and Ren & Stimpy , but it not like Breadwinners an ugly version of Adventure Time, so maybe for some people it did not look good because the color palette is based on watercolor painting so when there a close up shoot of a character look gross the color palette doesn't help it ,but the art style still creative and appealing.I like the second episode it's a fun idea,you don't know where the episode going , it's a fun episode.Pig ,Goat, Banana, and Cricket has some good qualities with it's cool art style and animation, unpredictable story lines ,but it has everything that bad about Nickelodeon with it's toilet humor , badly structured story, and character type that are in every Nickelodeon animated shows these days. Hopefully my opinion will change once if the show gets better . Maybe I need to watch more of the episodes as they air on TV. -
camiacono18 November 2015Where to begin? First off The art style alone is enough to keep anyone with a reasonable sense of taste far far away. And the title what to make of it? "Pig Goat Banana Cricket" sounds like there should be an AND before cricket but I guess they wanted to show just how crazy this show is. And when I say crazy I mean annoying. This show is almost like bread winners with its annoying "can't have the characters slow down or else the kids will flick away syndrome", almost as bad it's better than bread winners with that hyper active can't stop non-sense. But this show's previously mentioned art style is very ugly, The title screen cap on the page before the one this review is on dose not show any of the main characters and if you look at any of the screen caps on other websites you will see that was most likely on purpose because this show is show ugly with it's art style. It's animated in flash which I myself think too many cartoons now a days are animated in flash but the animation itself is fluid enough for standard flash shows but the art style is hideous. Now I saw in some review that this show is like a modern day Ren and Stimpy, there wrong, for starters Ren and Stimpy relied on slap stick and sneaking sly adult humor in occasion and not as much on gross out humor and the art style there was due to limitation and the jokes themselves were well written. Pig goat banana cricket focuses too much on gross out humor for instance in the ear killing theme song they run on a blast of snot. The characters are nothing new and everything unlikeable, bland, easily predictable and yet manage to be annoying. There's not to much else I can say about this show it's just shy of being bread winners bad, shows like this is why many people think Nick is dying. Really bad shows like Johnny test and bread winners are made to appeal to a demographic just to get viewer ship with it "hip and cool modern" concept and leave the writing, animation, characters, and everything else left to utter crap. Show like these are not what the network needs! What Nick needs is a show that can be entertaining and have moments that slow down the pace from time to time, Like Harvey Beaks that is a great show for Nicks line up and can teach morals. Or the new ninja turtles which what teen titans go wishes it was with great directed action and clever humor. As for Pig goat banana cricket I presume it will be canceled to make a time slot for the upcoming and hopefully better Loud house.

Nickelodeon was already improving by green-lighting Harvey Beaks, AND giving SpongeBob a 10th season, but now they prove that they can make a show worse than Breadwinners. Fanboy and Chum Chum would've been the worst Nickelodeon show ever, until THAT spot went to Breadwinners, and now THIS??!! I cannot believe this. Pig Goat Banana Cricket is a pain in the ass. I've just already seen the first episode of this damn thing, and I swear to got, it was too drugged up. It even felt like an insult to the cartoons of the 1930s. Pig Goat Banana Cricket is nowadays the WORST Nickelodeon show ever!! Is this something worth watching?! NO!!! Harvey Beaks is way better than this, and that doesn't have butt jokes (well, sometimes it does, but not as much as Breadwinners). I'm done with this crap. I never want to see Pig Goat Banana Cricket on TV ever again.

andrew_heitzeberg18 July 2015I wasn't really attracted to this show when I first saw this on Nickelodeon.The art style didn't really catch my eyes and I didn't really find the title of this show unique.The name of this show is literally "Pig,Goat,Banana,Cricket".But I just decided to give this show a try despite it's art style and mediocre title.After watching this show, I hated it even more.Each episode is built on a clichéd and faulty plot and there are too many plot holes, it has way too many fart jokes which is just disgusting and not funny anymore, the characters are barely likable and have very few redeeming qualities, the art style is disgusting and it's badly animated.I wouldn't ever watch this again. Nickelodeon has simply given up on making good cartoons.Fanboy and ChumChum,Breadwinners,Sanjay and Craig and now this I'm sorry nickelodeon but you're not good enough to watch now. CartoonNetwork has better shows now and all you have is SpongeBob

toondude-rozier84421 July 2015This show is just....... Well let's just get to the point. Firstly, this show has a downright unappealing and disgusting visual style. The character designs don't make it any better, they're just as ugly. Really pains me to look at it, not very nice on the eyes. It's different, I'll give it that, but it's not a positive different. And the animation of the characters is very slow and delayed, like frames are outright missing sometimes. It's animation is MUCH better than Breadlosers, but still, pretty below average and mediocre. The humor is also an issue: GROSS OUT HUMOR EVERYWHERE. Often revolving around butts, it's unnecessary and forced in. It's not as bad as Breadlosers with it, but still, it's everywhere. The characters themselves are one note and not very likable. Look at Pig for example, the jokes revolving around him are pretty annoying. His shtick is to constantly eat up things and mess up. Like, he constantly throws gross out humor to the audience, and his stupidity isn't very charming like say pre-movie Patrick or Edd from Ed, Edd, N Eddy. Like, OKAY!!! I GET YOU LIKE FUDGE BUBBLES. I GET YOU LIKE PICKLES!!! Can you give me another reason to even care about you? He's a mixture of SpongeBob and Patrick, optimistic and dumb. And his voice is pretty grating too. On to Goat, she's somewhat of a sarcastic ill-tempered know it all. She doesn't really have a personality and is very bland. Her shtick is to sing horribly, and get angry and start yelling gibberish. She's just like Sandy. Now for Banana. He feels like he's trying too hard to make the audience laugh. He's pretty self absorbed and he's arguably the worst in terms of likability with the exception of Pig. His lines sound awfully forced and he's a pest to the others. And he has quite repetitive humor, like, HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU HAVE TO ASK FOR WIFI? It's OK to have a catchphrase, but to have constant humor revolving around it, is just really monotonous. He's a mixture of Squidward and Mr. Krabs, sarcastic and manipulative. And on to Cricket. The most likable character out of the four, and he's pretty BORING. Like, nothing about him is interesting. He's a nerdy disrespected inventor. He's basically Plankton. As you can see, these characters seem like cheap copies of the characters from SpongeBob. Could they have at least came up with some original personalities? Nope, SpongeBob's popular, so we have to copy it so we can be popular too. So I watched the first episode. It was about the characters freaking out after Pig unleashes fudge bubbles created by Cricket. The plot feels awfully clichéd, like an charmless version of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. And the show isn't very entertaining. I got so bored that I literally lost attention rapidly and found myself browsing on Google. while watching. This show also suffers from a disjointed narrative. Scenes will randomly switch and pick up on another character, in situations not even closely related to each other. There's no sort of flow or connection in these plots. Can you make a plot that incorporates all the main characters at once?? Hell, it's almost as bad as Family Guy in that aspect. And the episode kinda overstays it's welcome. Like, if the episode was gonna be this boring, could it have at least been 15 minutes? But the episode is extended to 30 minutes. Overall, this show doesn't look like it's gonna be very successful. Unlikable characters, hideous visual style, boring plots, it just doesn't have that much going for it. I find it worse than Sanjay and Craig, but it's not as abysmal as Breadlosers. It's a shame too, because this show comes along right in the wake of the critical success of Harvey Beaks, a WONDERFUL show and the best cartoon Nick has had in years, and the newest SpongeBob episodes, which were pretty darn good (I mean, they're the first episodes Stephen Hillenburg worked on since Season 3). People, don't watch this show. There's so much better options, like Harvey Beaks and We Bare Bears. But I'm giving it 5 stars because it's a HUGE IMPROVEMENT over Breadlosers.

footeemma14 August 2015first off, it's boring and it's too random. Why would you have the characters be a banana, a goat, a pig and a cricket? Honestly. The characters are annoying and stupid and the animation looks so ugly. I'd honestly rather watch fan boy and chum chum. This is the worst cartoon I've ever seen in my entire life. I don't believe this show will last a while. This is just like that one show, Secret Mountain Fort Awesome. That one had really ugly animation and the plot was really stupid. If I had kids, I would never let them watch this show. Every time this show comes on the TV I would immediately switch the channel. IF I EVER CATCH MYSELF WATCHING THIS SHOW I WILL PUNCH MYSELF. I hate this show so much. I know that the producers could have came up with something much better, that makes sense and is actually quality animation.

I don't even know what this show is about but I don't need to know, to know that this show is totally lame. I mean who would watch something like this, cause I know I wouldn't. I've seen better from nickelodeon and i certainly wouldn't make anyone watch this show, even if our lives depended on it. I don't know what they were thinking when they made this show yet I'm starting to think that they weren't thinking when making this show otherwise they would have came up with something much better and actually worth watching. this show seems like one of those one season kind of shows!!!

richboundzash31 August 2015When I first saw it, I thought it was going to be another Breadwinners, Sanjay and Craig, etc But I watched it and it was actually pretty decent, reminds me of the good ol' days. It kinda reminds me of (old) Spongebobs layout. Pig is a mixture of Patrick and SB, Goat is squidward, banana is Mr krabs, and cricket is obviously sandy, Its not the best ever but its still better than whats on nickelodeon now, which explains the 10 star rating. Episode plots.... Meh, Character traits, Balanced, But I'd hope it could explain a little more about the setting, as in one episode they're In a city and in one they're in a cave with an arcade and an old lady in it.... But its good.

The show looks like someone just took a radioactive dump from space! Everything looks like it came out of a garbage can filled with poop! What I'm trying to say is a majority of the animation in this cartoon literally looks like poop...That and puke.
All the show is other than its' plot is puke and poop...Well, there's also a few other things. I swear the creators of this show just spun a wheel to come up with this show!
In the episode I should've never watched, the characters were parodies of characters from Marvel. The banana was a parody of Eddie Brock, the character who's the human that's primarily possessed by Venom...Yep...The other 3 titular characters are parodies of The Fantastic 4...
There's apparently a radioactive meatball meteor headed towards town in the episode...It literally looks like a huge ball of turd...Then, the villains in the episode are a male character named Lipstick Horse...and a donut...that can travel through time...Don't watch this show...Just don't... -

The show has been on Nickelodeon for about 2 months now and at first I didn't like the show but grown on me a little. The show is about four friends Named Pig, Goat, Banana and Cricket. The show is kind like Ren and Stimpy with the art style. The show features the voices of Matt L. Jones as Pig, Candi Milo as Goat Tom F. Wilson as Banana and the Great Paul Rugg as Cricket. The first episode had a sneak peek on July 16,2015 and officially premiered on July 18,2015. Anyway I kind like this show and its kinda funny. Anyway I'm giving "Pig Goat Banana Goat Cricket" 10 out of 10 stars. Anyway see you guys later. BYE. Updated as of Wednesday, September 27th, 2017.

This is not a show for kids. Have 0 expectations relax with your favourite inhibitor and laugh and don't try and make sense. The animation takes you back to the glory days of Ren and Stimpy the story line is nonsense, just don't think so hard. It was hilarious and fun. If you're looking for meaning in a show called Pig, Goat, Banana, Cricket, you mighy need to consider looking a bit further because the title is exactly what it says it is. Stop giving it bad reviews because you wanted something more from a cartoon named Pig, Goat, Banana, Cricket.

Allow me to introduce you to the writing process of the theme song. Are you ready kids? XD let's get started. 'Pig opens up his refrigerator and then he grabs a jar of pickles. PIG! Goat's head pops out of the pickle jar and she flies out of it with a guitar with pickles flying out underneath her. Goat strums her guitar. GOAT! Goat throws guitar towards Banana. Banana is seen playing video games. Banana turns, crosses his legs, and smiles at camera. BANANA! Banana screams and guitar Goat throws flies into his mouth. Banana trips backwards and pulls the guitar out of his mouth and suddenly trips over a worm hole and falls in. Cricket is seen finished making a machine. Banana hits Cricket while he was falling down a worm hole. CRICKET! Cricket falls down and drops his tiny machine. The tiny machine grows bigger without reason and then PIG GOAT BANANA CRICKET go towards the machine without reason. The machine sucks up PIG GOAT BANANA CRICKET for some unkown reason. Then, the machine launches out from underneath the ground. A bug monster is rampaging above a town and the bug monster sees the machine. PIG GOAT BANANA CRICKET screams and the machine flies into the bug monster's nose. The bug monster sneezes them out and PIG GOAT BANANA CRICKET fly out in a wave of boogers and snot saying their names and the title card flies to the screen with it revealing that PIG GOAT BANANA CRICKET is an abomination.' And if that was your goal to show our kids what an abomination really is, XD then you did a good job.

I like weird and fun shows, it's bizarre, random and again fun, I like this show how it doesn't take itself seriously, like most show today in television examples Adventure time, regular show, We bare bears, this shows are tryng to much to embbigen themself form how they started that are just annoying the fan base, and in we bare bears you can see that they are gonna make it more of what it is (Grizz past) this show it's at par in zaniness whit uncle grandpa, I even want a crossover of the shows, also,I fell sad they call this show mediocre, or bad or worse, you can tell they don't try to give a show a chance, even great show have wobbly first season (example- old Simpsons ,Bob burger, Futurama) so if you wan't to just veg out and have fun watch it and enjoy!!!

Banana pulls out zombie organs. pig tries to throw a fish back in the water but instead it falls on the street and gets run over by a car. and his soul is about to fly up to heaven. when all of a sudden another car drives by. and hits his soul. pig sits down in a chair and a kid goes flying out the window. and then you can hear a car hit him. prince mermeow almost gets his head chopped off. goat slams the door on a character and his arm falls off. Banana sticks a pack of dynamite in a characters mouth. goat runs through a dangerous army base. and a character pulls out his brain and falls over. theirs some dark humor. a bunny spins a wheel of punishment and one of the things on the wheel is a bottle of poison. a character is seen with a knife stuck in her head. and there's just really dark stuff. Banana and his friends rob a rappers grave. there's a character named physcopath giraffe who tries to hurt the main characters. and one of bananas family members almost dies from peeling. and there's some suicide references. cricket pulls a flower out of the ground and it says come on man end it. and a character is seen sticking his head in a lions mouth . with that being said i think Pig goat banana cricket is not for kids. and is a show thats exactly like ren and stimpy. i hope it gets renewed for a third season because i cant wait to see what else they get away with.

imjaegerbomb30 July 2015I can't believe everyone here saying that Harvey Beaks is a good show, it tries to be serious but it just ends up being stupid. It's a total rip off of Cartoon Network's shows that are ACTUALLY SERIOUS (ie Adventure Time, Steven Universe). Meanwhile, Pig Goat Banana Cricket is a cool show with wicked animation and awesome characters (Goat is my favorite), it's really silly and funny. I don't get how people could say that that idiotic show Harvey Beaks is better than this show. At least PGBC is unique. Also, even though it h a strong a bit of toilet humor, so does Harvey Beaks. I'm not even going to mention Breadwinners or Sanjay and Craig. I love how Goat is sassy (and NOT considered bossy like girls are usually seen as), and I like that even though Cricket has a crush on her,she isn't just used as a love interest. What more can I say?

Illustrator1125 May 2022A lot of people on here are either too stuck or too dumb to understand the brilliance of this show.
For example in one of the episodes an elderly character's mobility scooter runs out of gas, pig goes out to get gas, and comes back saying "I'm so glad I found a place that sold me POLTER GAS". Before Elderly character can say "oh no not the polter gas", the mobility scooter transforms into a super giant mobility scooter with skulls, spikes and flames coming out of the sides. That's freaking brilliant. A joke that was literally on the screen for like 4 seconds but it was amazing. .. (for the ones who don't get the joke look up "poltergeist")
I understand the art style might not be for everyone, I personally like it.
Not anything have to be educational for your kids. Sometimes you just want to watch something ridiculous, silly. Just as some of you want to relax and watch Kardashian's or some other reality show your kid might want to watch something that's fun for them. Your kid might not get some of the jokes but at least in the future they well have better sense of humor then a lot of you on here. -
worththeduck20 July 2015I expected this show to be good, and right I was! PGBC is a fun and silly show with great animation and a great story. What I love is how the four friends' adventures are split apart in each episode, just to come back altogether at the end. The characters have great and strong personalities and if I had to pick a favorite, it would be Banana. Mainly because his sly wise guy personality is just cool The animation is truly something special, having a kind of messy and wobbly look to it. It's something that hasn't been on TV for a long time. It just looks amazing. For a long time, I started to think that Nickelodeon was losing its touch, with shows like Sanjay and Craig and Breadwinners (which is horrible), but this looks like Nick's next good show. While it's not as good as 90's nick shows, it's an amazing show by itself.

Pig Goat Banana Cricket is a good Nickelodeon show a you can Watching on paramount plus if you like it and I hate People that say it's Ugly and bad as a Tv shows. And I want more shows Like this one and I Invite you Not to watch it when you're eating. And I love The art Style and the art work. And Similar TV shows include Back at the barnyard. Sanjay-And-Craig and Fanboy and chum chum. I am so sad that this tv shows only last. 2 years 2015 to 2017 and only last 2 season on Nickelodeon and I love When nickelodeon is risky with their shows Cause nickelodeon doesn't do that anymore and They stop being risky With the TV shows.
