  • This is one of the few telenovelas that serve some real lessons to the audience, nowadays it's all about drugs, sex, money laundry this and that but with this one, almost every character had something to tell. I wish it was still on Netflix so I can binge watch again. What a novel, the crew and the cast did such amazing job.
  • Ok so when I saw the poster and read the description, I thought this was a typical love triangle soap opera but I was wrong, I went in with a little expectation and I was blown away after finishing the complete novel.. this novel had it all, action, drama, romance, comedy, thriller, suspense and a little bit fantasy, the twists and turns were also insane. I truly enjoyed this novel

Hmm so going through the reviews but why the hate though? If you are watching a novel and you don't like it then why wasting your time and bundle? Like who even forced you to watch in the first place? This novel was pretty clear from the opening theme that Montserrat and Alejandro will end up together despite everything since they are the protagonist couple, if you don't like the idea or support them why not quit instead of embarrassing yourself and writing hateful comments under here? Make it make sense? Also it's just a Fictional TV show not real life so get over it.. it's not that deep.
  • Thought the series was terrific. The acting was superb.

I enjoy watching this TV series everyday I can not miss a single episode I at least watch it twice a day I enjoy it so much. If i ever do miss an episode i record the show so i can enjoy and watch it later on. Its drama and actors are just jaw dropping I truly enjoy sitting back and watching this TV series it is worth your time. I never did really love sitting back and watch TV series there was always to much drama or to much trouble and would easily annoyed me but this TV series in particular is not the case. This is the first TV series that ever calls my attention and I'm not much of a TV person. In all I would like to summarize this review on this TV show as an awesome worth watching show so take a seat and give it a chance the journey, suspense and drama in this TV series will be worth your time.
  • Ok I'm new to the Novelas I'll admit. And I watched this in Spanish with English subtitles. But we binge watched the whole 190 episode in a week that's how addictive it was. I thought it was very well written and incredibly well acted. I saw two bad reviews and I don't get that at all. It was nothing like I've ever seen on American TV. I've seen the lead Actress and Actor before and I think they're amazing as was the whole cast. It was definitely an emotional roller coaster. Maybe I need to see a lot more novelas to compare it to but I've seen a lot of movies and TV and I think this was one of the best things I've ever seen. Bravo to everyone involved.
  • This novela was so good, so thrilling and spectacular.. it definitely messed up my emotions 😥 my favourite character was the villain though, Pedro Medina haha.
  • I don't really like this show it is the same old drama TV show that would be on MTV except without the "reality" part in it. It uses the same old TV romance tactics the 2 Guys and 1 Girl. Which is so Cliché it could have a lot more potential if it was more original you could find hundreds of shows and movies based on romance about 1 girl and 2 guys wanting her which is for sure to stir up drama. I think the potential of the actors could be so much more if they just had good show script writers that probably thought of a more unique plot. Then the show would be a good drama show. The Actors are good but the plot is not as good and could use some improvements.

So I finished this novel today and wow it was so intense, like very intense, it's like nothing I have ever seen before, to me, it's among the best Soap Operas out there. The plot was very different from others and the actors were very good in their roles.. What I liked the most about this novel very much is how they explored every character, like every single character had their own arc and the novel didn't fully centered around only the main characters like most soap operas do.. all the characters were super complex, no one was completely good or evil, they were all quite grey which I think make the novel even more engaging

There were no unnecessary characters, every episode, every scene and every character moves the plot forward. The villains were very compelling and the soundtracks too was super awesome.

There were also no boring moment, something is always happening. Unlike others, this novel never decline, it kept the same charm throughout the entire novel. The story and it's characters will keep you very invested. Ok this may seem like exaggeration but trust me it's not, the novel is that good

However my only complaint is that this novel sometimes normalize so much violence and abusive behaviours, other than that the novel was very well written and directed.. this novel had it's problems I won't lie, but I don't think there's any Soap Opera out there that comes anywhere close to this one in terms of intensity or entertainment value.

I really did try to like this show....

The early episodes were amusing and it was possible to overlook the fact that nearly every scene involved either crying or shouting. However, as the episodes rolled along the level of suspension of belief just became too obscene and the plot too incredulous, I began questioning whether I was watching a bunch of idiots vie for the "greatest fool" prize. Here's why:

Forget for a moment that Montserrat is miraculously (and incredulously) able to forgive her rapist husband Alejandro after he crudely rapes her on their wedding night. Forget too the fact that his rage-filled "love" for her amounts to nothing more than self-love, egotism, and selfishness, but come on...let's be real....any woman in her right mind will NEVER be okay with or accept the man who kicks her out of the house when she is pregnant with HIS SON! Add to that the fact that despite his rage-filled protestations of "love" for her are not evidenced by unconditional love and the fact that he refuses to accept her or his own son until he sees the DNA test results proving that it is indeed his son and I'm sorry, we all know where this is headed.

But seriously, for her to then fall MADLY, desperately in love with him to the point of being completely and utterly blind to his masochistic, self-centered, self-promoting ways, and it is just painful to watch. You feel bad for how inherently dumb Montserrat must be...at first!! Until she starts to become a female version of her rage-filled husband Alejandro, and then you just start abhorring her as much as you abhor him.

This story is really a depiction of how a previously (we suspect, because the evidence is sadly lacking!!) nice, humble dude inherits a bunch of money and becomes a little hellion incarnate who goes on to find his hellion mother (who, like any good "wolf in sheep's clothing" initially appears nice and self-depricating only to proceed to show her nasty, snide, and self-deluded personality, making it instantly clear that she and her bratty, entitled son were cut from the same cloth).

Alejandro goes from being a mediocre, not bad looking but not good looking either kind of guy to eliciting such an absolute intense sense of loathing for his character and personality that it is impossible to stand watching him. As much as I was dying to see how the story would end (still rooting for Jose Luis, who is the only character with a hint of dignity and class), I could no longer stand to watch Montserrat deteriorate into a woman just as nasty, egotistical, arrogant, and self-absorbed as her horrible, bratty husband and his evil, demonic mother. When his mother is screaming at someone, I recall parental threats of going to hell and being summoned by the residents there. It is hard to watch. Alejandro, meanwhile, foams from the mouth in almost every scene, just livid, thinking the world owes him so much and that he deserves so much more than everyone else, and it just becomes intolerable.

FINALLY when you believe he is dead and you experience this overwhelming sense of relief that his eagerness to sacrifice the life of his best friend and his best friend's wife and her unborn child that she is pregnant with resulted in his demise, you are then jolted back to "reality" that this monster cannot die; he lives to torment everyone again, learning NOTHING from his mistakes, his arrogance, self-absorption, and self-centeredness. It is disgusting.

The only truly good person in the entire show (Jose Luis) remains the target for and butt of the arrogant attitudes of Alejandro, Montserrat, and his awful, evil mother. They are grossly self-righteous, acting like they believe they are so much better and more entitled than he. Their arrogant self-love, self-obsession, and self-righteousness is just nauseating.

I had to go out and buy a pregnancy test after watching this show, as the nausea was so palpable that I thought I might be pregnant.

This series is a remake of 80s hit, Bodas De Odio, and 2004 Amor Real. So far, this series doesn't even come close to Amor Real. The actress is too slutty to be innocent Matilde, or in this case, Monserat. Her acting sucks and her fake breasts do nothing to favor her. I have watched Amor Real four times already, and every time it is a joy to watch. Seeing one episode of this "entertainment" is excruciating. Do not waste your time watching this garbage. Go to YouTube and watch Amor Real; trust me, it wont disappoint. Now that is a series that is epic and is worth watching. Adela Noriega does a wonderful job as the innocent Matilde. Fernando Colunga does a great job as Manuel, the loving husband who's world crashes down when he discovers Matilde's deceptions, and Mauricio Islas is an enchanting Adolfo Solis, who loves Matilde to death. Now that is a series, not this garbage
