  • The legend of Michael Mishra is a romantic comedy movie starring Arshad Warsi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Bowman Irani and Kayoze Irani and is directed by Manish Jha.

My initial query was why the movie is being made in Patna whereas the movie could've been made in Mumbai as none of the leads barring Aditi Rao Hydari (to some extent) cannot imitate the pure bihari dialect.

The plot of the movie is good and a good movie could've been made but failed due to bad execution. The film lacks humour and looks monotonous despite of having fantastic cast of Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani. Junior Irani did some hard work but he tried to look funny because he is fat. The support staff looks uninterested. Aditi had done some hard work and it shows in the movie.

The songs are forgettable and irritates. Screenplay and direction is bad and after just half n hours you will realise that you are watching a movie whose plot ( neither acting nor comedy) is borrowed from Munna bhai MBBS.

Action is also cliche. There is a little twist in the climax but till the movie reaches it's climax viewers are already exhausted.

Overall the movie is a shambolic mess of repeated plot with listless romance and comedy.
  • I love the acting of Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani. This duo's previous venture was Jolly LLB and that was pretty funny and enjoyable flick. That was also a low budget film but was quite a successful movie. That was critically acclaimed and commercially successful movie. After watching that movie I was very curious about this movie and I was eagerly waiting for this movie. I know this is a low budget film and this is not a very anticipated movie of this year. There is the only trailer for promoting this movie and that is not enough for a commercial movie. But after all this is an Arshad Warsi movie and that is enough for comedy movie lover.

Arshad Warsi portrayed the role of Michael Mishra who is a kidnapper but fall in love with a girl named Varsha Shukla (Aditi Rao Hydari). He goes to jail for some reason and after jailing, he has to find his true love and the real twist comes after this. I am not sure this is a true story or not but the story is very unimposing and half-baked. The director chose a very choppy story line for this movie and the script is also not polished. the main problem of the low budget movie is they just curtail the production cost and they try to save money with the execution of the low-quality script. This problem has totally happened in this movie.

Performance wise Arshad Warsi was OK but nothing to shout about. Boman Irani was full of overacting and Adity Roy Haidari has nothing to do with her role. The direction was very poor and there is no continuity about the scene by scene. Music was not up to the mark and editing was not accomplished.

If you have time and money but I will tell don't choose this movie. You will regret yourself after watching this movie.
  • A movie that shouldn't have been made, that guy should not be allowed to make movies. During corona period my dad played this as a family film on an OTT. I couldn't stand the bad acting, direction & the lack of a story. Felt like a millennia had passed after 20-30 minutes. They have portrayed such a humiliating stereotype of the Bihari community.

I am blaming myself for sitting for that long, the only other time I felt this was when I was watching Shanghai.
  • Did not expect such a rubbish movie starring great actors like Boman Irani and Arshad Warsi. Awful performances, direction, story is what this movie is composed of. Never heard such a bad accent of a bihari by any lead actor.

I stopped the movie in the middle to check the imdb comments and read that second half was better so I watched the whe movie. Idk why you dumbasses are rating this movie more than 3.

1 extra star for few funny punches here and there. Thats it.
  • Dumbest thing I've done. 10 minutes in you get bored and pissed off by poor directing and unfunny "comedy". Arshad Warsi and the Iranis did a good performance but their characters just become irritating/boring. Stopped watching after 30 minutes.
  • Shame and spit on the mouth of that person who thought of making this movie. This movie is entirely based on the jealousy felt against the talent of people of Bihar who are truly most talented people in all over the country. This movie shows the ill mindedness of the people are in no birth can compete with a Biharo. They're Gems indeed!! Wish I could also be a Bihari..
  • As earlier comments said, there are loose gaps in the middle, but once the climax comes, all gaps would be connected perfectly. Then you will say WoW and feel logical for the script.
  • OK, the movie is not that great. But then, which Bollywood comic caper is? The Legend of Micheal Mishra has a few good laughs, and a good story, and a stand up performance from Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani, and genuinely ties up all the loose ends by the climax. Catch it in home video if you can. You will not regret it.

    Cute
Though the first half was a bit slow, but the movie really took a turn in its second half.
