Bitter ex-employee of WRNG Pierre shows up to try to find out what happened to Bob, and Tess, Stan, and the team have 90 minutes to go live with a new story before he exposes them.
With only 90 minutes before their 1st post drops, Tess decides it's easier to make a fake human interest story than a fake news story. But they have no subject. If only there was some weird guy who worked in the office. Like Mr. Pomesh.
Pomesh and Blather need to find sponsors, but Pomesh is still mad about being forced to drink the potion. Stan just wants to watch his favorite web series, "Threadjackers." Pomesh forces Stan to experience a Threadjackers dream sequence.
Good news: Pomesh has a potential sponsor. Bad news: It's Vlad, a member of the Russian news. Worse news: Blather and Vlad get into an argument, and everyone finds themselves in a situation very similar to The Sopranos' "Pine Barrens."
Back at the WRNG offices, Karen from Corporate requests more content from Janeen and Brian, who decide to film a timely political piece about Brian's addiction. A problem: Brian's not addicted to anything... or is he?
Stan's long-lost brother Manuel visits, and everyone takes an instant liking to him. Stan gets jealous. Manuel helps Tess puzzle out some of the illicit goings-on. (Note: this episode was filmed in front of a live studio audience.)
Tess is missing. Tarpit and Finch have dragged everyone else out to Pacoima to interrogate them. Meanwhile, Dan and Karen conduct an interrogation of their own. Note: None of these conversations are particularly friendly.
Tarpit and Finch may have met their match with Stan, but the team still doesn't know what happened to Tess. Dan and Karen hatch a plan to use Brian to find out.
Mr. Pomesh drinks an emergency "sanity potion" and risks his life in an attempt to get Tarpit and Finch to reveal what happened to Tess. Karen makes a dramatic choice. Stan finally gets to achieve one of his goals.
