Richard Collins (Philadelphia "Phil" Collins) passed away during the last week of filming.

Patrick Roach actually stood shirtless in the weather temperature of -35 Celsius on the first day of filming. According to production notes, Roach never complained once.

The 4/20 event on Parliament Hill, Ottawa, took place on April 20, 2013. Ottawa police were recruited as security and around 50 extras along with the film crew surrounded to protect Robb Wells, Mike Smith and John Paul Tremblay. The three actors were unnoticed by over 10,000 attendees until onlookers started approaching them at the last minute.

Robb Wells did all of his own driving including the bus.

The first Trailer Park Boys film not written by either Robb Wells, Mike Smith and John Paul Tremblay (Ricky, Bubbles and Julian). However, they have provided their own material for their respective characters.

Jonathan Torrens gained around 40 pounds to reprise his role as J-Roc.

This would be Mike Clattenburg's Swan Song. After directing the film he stepped down completely, and sold all the rights to the Trailer Park Boys plus its affiliated trademarks to Robb Wells, JP Tremblay, and Mike Smith. They purchased it under their 'Swearnet' brand with Netflix agreeing to host their material. (Netflix had already been hosting the former season plus the films and specials for some time)

This was Barrie Dunn's (Ray) last appearance in the trailer park boys. Dunn is an accomplished attorney in Halifax and wanted his career to soley focus on his legal work.

Picks up several years after 'Countdown to Liquor Day'. The exact timeline is left ambiguous, which is a continued hallmark of the show.

Julian does not hold his drink for a moment when he turns on his laptop to show Ricky news footage of the upcoming 4/20 event.

The laptop that John Paul Tremblay (Julian) uses in this film is a Compaq Presario CQ56.

The Bus that Bubble's aquires from his parents at the end of the film is gone in season 8 onward. Its absence is left unexplained.
