  • Watched a couple of episodes. I gave up when the clients of a car started asking the employee assigned to the car questions on doing this or that to the car. The employee was asked a question and gave an honest answer. The "Star" dressed him down for doing that as the "Star" should be the only one. Fine - dandy, there was reason to see that on TV. The "Star" is a tool.

Restoration Garage features David Grainger, his wife Janice Stone and billionaire friend Larry Burns. The series seems like a TV version of vanity publishing and some viewers will be left wondering how and why this show was produced.

    Warning: Spoilers
Why would a person take a car in for a transmission repair and they pull the motor apart? That makes no sense to me. It looks like they cause more problems to the car than what it went in for. It was a transmission job not a motor rebuild. It seems to me the more problems they can find or make the more they can charge
  • Been watching the show for quite a while including some repeats and it actually is interesting. Have watched and seen some cool things happen on this show that doesn't really happen on other ones. It is pretty unique knowing they deal with a lot of older stuff on this show versus newer stuff so there is some variety there which can be enjoyable. New episodes have been pretty good to watch as well. I have seen some more serious builds going on as well. It is nice to see they are still making new episodes to watch cause the show does have some great stuff to see.
  • This season is down the tubes. This season an old man with long, dirty looking hair like a 60's loser band, is in what could be 8mm home movies. B-O-R-I-N-G! And his wife, following along like a puppy, what's the point? This was never a great show so there is no reason for these people to think it was ever about them. It wasn't! It was about fixing the cars. Now it has degenerated to sheer embarrassment. I deleted Restoration Garage from my DVR's scheduled recordings and I swear I think I heard it thank me. So yes, please just go away!
  • And explain to me exactly why the giggling wife Is now such a big part of each episode while the guy (don't know or care what his name is) wanders around on their vacation and makes useless remarks. Please cancel this loser.

The first season was great. They hand built a Bugatti! Now they do brake jobs, tune ups and exhaust while the owner travels and tries to get more eccentric but just comes off as weird. should be renamed as HoHum Garage.

    Ugh
When I first saw the host, I thought I was seeing the ugliest woman alive and then I realized it was a man, David the host. Why don't you get a haircut or a different wig? When one of his very talented employees' hand- built a Bugatti, David took the car to an Arab country, without the employee that built the car, and took all the credit for himself. There are some good episodes when David is out of the picture and his employees are showing how they complete a restoration.

David, You look look like an overages hippie, Get a haircut! Your information on vehicle repair is not helpful, you should leave it to the mechanics that you hired to do the work. You Know ! The experts.

I've watched many, many episodes of the Guild Garage & found something interesting in every one. I don't care what he looks like, as some other people have commented. I've enjoyed his & his wife's trips to France, European car races, concours, automotive museums, car shows in California & elsewhere, Canadian & American race tracks, & all the other interesting places he's taken us viewers. He really gets around, more so than just about anyone else in the tv car world. His travels & bantering with his very interesting friend Larry, & their 30+ year friendship is also a treat. I watch many automotive shows on the Velocity channel on cable tv- they're all unique with their different styles, & so is the Guild Garage & David Grainger. I absolutely don't agree that this show is boring. As a collector of classic Thunderbirds (7- restored) & other non Thunderbirds, I may not be in the same league as Larry or David, with their collector cars, but I do have some credibility.

I hope they continue putting out more content.

I'm currently watching an episode I taped from Mar 31, 2022 dealing with Larry's Cord & Delahaye. Another very interesting episode.
