I enjoyed thousandaires, the comedians are genuinely funny, but I have issues with the concept as a whole. The entire premise of the show is "watch us waste money" and from goofs I noticed in the very first episode, it isn't even filmed candidly, as I noticed on my first watch when people were changing positions between shots mid-song. I do really love dropout, and the show is still really funny. But ultimately, in an economy where people are struggling to get by and a thousand dollars would change someone's life, it feels borderline offensive to see a handful of comedians throw it away on a joke, and even worse, some of what was bought seemed worth maybe 100 bucks, raising the question, where is the money actually going?
Endlessly funny and uncontrollably wacky, these comedians shine in another one of Dropout's new successes. With wild gifts and entertaining theatrics this show really hits the nail on the head. There's truly no knowing what one of these comedians might purchase with their thousand dollars and that's the fun of the show. Good times and great laughs. Each gift seems to be a completely new kind of wacky with every episode. If you're not familiar with Dropout's shows I highly recommend this one. It showcases what their platform is all about, making something that both the audience and the performers can enjoy.
