Great show that starts off rough but finds its footing
When I first found this show late at night on YouTube I admit I was a bit hesitant to watch because I am, unfortunately (or, maybe, fortunately?) not a teenager.
Then I started watching it and I found that I couldn't stop (albeit the first season is online all as one video, like a movie, so it made it easier to forget about the time because it didn't end after each episode).
There are some minor issues in the first two seasons from imperfect-but-not-horrible sound mixing to some uneven supporting performances (notably the Doctor in season one and Ray Ablack's character's douchey friends in season two), yet this is made up by beautiful camera angles, stellar direction and music choices, as well as amazing performances by the leads (especially Chloe Rose, from Degrassi fame, the camera loves her here).
By the time I got to the third season (recently released) I was pleasantly surprised to see it had gotten even better. The sound is clear, the score sounds like something out of a A24 movie, the story is shocking and captivating, the acting better than ever. I was compelled to leave a note here, which says something about the craft of the show. It is some great story-telling, definitely recommend!
Congrats to the cast and crew of Teenagers.
