In a story depicted in oil painted animation, a young man comes to the last hometown of painter Vincent van Gogh to deliver the troubled artist's final letter and ends up investigating his final days there.
During a masterclass at Klik Amsterdam Animation Festival, directors Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman revealed that a viewer looking closely can see a fly stuck in the paint in one frame.
Vincent said I was living a lie but he has lived in struggle for the truth.
A fly can be seen for a frame, with it being stuck to the real life painting of the frame.
