As a parent, this is not only annoying, but not something to teach kids. Every episode, each character, over and over again, "Huh? Huh? What? Whau? Huh?" Literally 30-50 times per each 23 minute episode. How is it possible no one caught this during production?!? If you are in college, and need a drinking game...this is it! Take a shot for each "Huh?" "What?" and you and your friends will NOT wake up for class the next day!

The show is an exact, literal translation from Japanese. What does that result in? Well, in one of the official (in the Tayo the Little Bus official channel) toy videos, the word "Bastard" is used. The entire show is very, and this is my opinion, annoying. The songs are annoying. The characters are annoying. And Tayo's only talent is being able to Fart songs. And that is made very clear through the episodes. So, I think this show should stay in Japanese.

I will admit, the show does teach some good things. I will admit that. But, as I said, using the word "Bastard" in a kids show is totally inappropriate. Use orphan instead. So, some of the things I mentioned were opinions. But some, you have to agree with me. I mean, the Farting as a talent I could live with. And if they were just little innuendos, (or big ones, like in "Shrek"), The kids would (probably) miss them, But I don't know ANYONE who wants their kids walking around the house saying B*stard.

The first two seasons of the show are excellent, light-hearted warm entertainment with solid episodes! Then the 3rd season came and whilst there were some good episodes, it was fairly hit or miss overall. The production quality went down, the voice actors were pretty bad, the music didn't change much.

Then we get to the fourth season and OH WOW, do things start to go downhill. The production quality is much worse, the buses no longer do their work, the now poorly executed fantasy element increases when that wasnt the shows main focus (what happened to a bunch of cartoony buses doing their work?), the characters don't seem to grow very much. And this continues to the fhith season where it gets worse!

Overall, Tayo started out as a strong show, but went downhill rapidly and overstayed it's welcome. If you're going to watch the show, watch season 1 and 2. Skip season 4 and 5 please!
  • Unfortunately my son loves the show and won't let go of it.. the characters are really annoying, the plot line silly and stupid. Absolutely lacks character and originality.. also the characters seem to not get things easily and are too slow for even avarage standards.. while they teach some good values, the characters always lack in self confidence. The kids are more likely to learn from the characters rather than the lessons. So the makers should have known that but I wouldn't expect that wisdom from them.
  • My 3 year old loves buses so this show is great for him. Some of the plot lines and characters are silly but it's not so horrible that I can't sit through it. The theme song is catchy and always playing in my head.
  • The first two seasons were awesome. The music is good, the voice actors did a good job. Then we get into season three. However, the music doesn't change, they had to replace the old actors with new ones although some of the main characters actors are pretty cute and some are decent. Then season 4, there are no more scenes of the busses doing their work. More adventures less work, I liked when they did work! And season 5 was the worst of all! The voice actors are sooooooooo annoying! And to make matters worse, this show is getting a sixth season which will suck as well. Also they say Huh, what, and hmm a lot in the modern seasons which is annoying. So if your going to watch this show then I recommend watching the first 3 or 4 Seasons and not 5 and 6.

    Season 1: 9/10 Season 2: 10/10 Season 3: 8.4/10 Season 4: 7.6/10 Season 5: 2.3/10 Season 6: 1.8/10

That's my review on this show. Also this show is Korean and not Japanese.
  • This show is so cute. Kind of annoying at times though I'll admit.. Why are parents so upset about farting? Jfc. Prudes. Everybody farts! Also the show is South Korean not Japanese. How would you know the translation of the words if you don't even know what language you're translating from?
