Goofs
When Grace Van Pelt discovers their entire CBI unit is also being bugged, the computer screen shows their former CBI ID's. Under Jane Patrick's ID it says "Special Agent", when in fact he was a consultant.

Paranoia

When the cartographer Charles Whitaker behaves like a crazy man and dies, the FBI agents assume the case since the company where he was employed works for the Pentagon. They interview his brother Curtis and learn that Charles did not use drugs and was very correct. Patrick finds a newspaper at his home with a coded message and then they visit the company where Charles worked. Patrick believes there is a spy in the company that has murdered Charles. Meanwhile Ardiles has dinner with Lisbon and believes someone is watching him. Lisbon believes it is paranoia but indicates Wayne and Grace services to help him to investigate his suspicious.

"The Golden Hammer" is a great episode of "The Mentalist". There is now the mystery of who is chasing the former CBI agents and why, besides the good storyline of industrial espionage. Good to see Rigsby and Van Pelt back to the show. My vote is eight.
