  • It's a story of a mobster returning home to the East Slovak city of Kosice from jail where he spent 10 years after his gangster friends abandoned him on a job. He finds the city changed but the people in his mobster circles, including his former girlfriend, continuing in their old ways. His only plan is to get his revenge even though it's clear that it will cost him his life as well. But, he succeeds in getting the things that matter fixed...

The storyline is OK, nothing out of the ordinary, a bit slow at times. Perhaps the main weakness is that the final scene is slightly confusing because not all the characters have been developed sufficiently earlier in the movie. However, that doesn't matter since the movie is really about the feel of Kosice, the city with different races, nations, languages, dialects, and socioeconomic groups co-existing in it. And , more importantly, about the contrasts among the people and among different neighborhoods that they inhabit, from a flashy Main St of the "European Capital of Culture 2013" to the infamous Lunik IX gypsy ghetto. So, everybody who's been to Kosice will enjoy the movie just for that.
