Scamanda

This is an interesting story, but this series suffers from both padding and laziness.

First of all, not EVERYTHING needs to be a documentary. This story could have easily been told in a 90 minute one-and-done documentary.

So you would think that be stretching it out to a four part series, they'd be able to do a deep dive into the details. Nope. You basically learn everything important in the first episode, and after that, they basically just keep looping over the same people, occasionally adding a new one, but never really fleshing out any interesting details.

For example, my wife is a nurse, and the first thing she asked was how she managed to fake so many pictures from inside hospitals. That's never even discussed. They also never really talk about the specifics of how they built the case against her.

When the final credits rolled, we looked at each other and said, "Is that it?"

Scamanda is an intriguing but a drawn-out narrative that captures initial interest yet suffers from too much repetition. The storyline, though captivating at the start, extends unnecessarily, making it feel as though it could have been more effectively conveyed in just two episodes.

The plot's potential is somewhat overshadowed by its prolonged delivery, leading to a sense of redundancy. The pacing issues detract from the overall impact, and some scenes feel needlessly prolonged.

Nonetheless, for those who enjoy intricate details, it still offers a compelling watch with moments of genuine intrigue.

This is an interesting documentary that unfortunately makes one realize how bad the state of our society really is.

I just finished watched episode two of Scamanda and I can see that I will have a hard time just looking at future photos of this despicable woman! I am cheering on those who want to discovery the truth but I am so wary that there will be a last minute twist... As I saw in the first episode, Amanda Riley is being interviewed; how can that be? I am gearing up with great hope that this whole saga will end with a lot of retribution and even jail time. How can she show her face on television?

Perhaps this gal suffers from a severe mental disorder that makes her a masochist. She appears to want to hurt people for sport. I'll keep my fingers crossed as episode three approaches.

This entire story could be one episode. The constant repeating is typical of these kind of documentaries. When I see these stories it's so hard to believe that people are so easily fooled. No one who is being treated for cancer looks happy and healthy the entire time. Who in the hospital and chemo settings puts on total makeup and hair? She never looks sick or gaunt, never ill from chemo, yet gullible people around her never seem to notice. And no one seemed too awfully confused by the absence of her parents. The gullibility of church goers is also typical. It's always easy to attribute all this to God. It make people feel good about themselves to contribute and cite miracles as proof of gods intervention.

Look at how her church propped her up and believed every word she said without any concrete proof. That church is also a business and saw how promoting her would help their business. Religion is a scam. Every single one of those that run that 'church' should be dragged for Mail fraud, wire fraud, and just fraud in general. Unless of course they're going to cling to the fact that they were naïve or scammed themselves, which I think anyone outside of any church would call BS. Amanda is ill but mentally ill and should be locked away in an insane asylum for the rest of her life away from the rest of humanity.
