I Thought My Husband's Wife Was Dead

When I stumbled upon this 2024 thriller titled "I Thought My Husband's Wife Was Dead", I have to admit that I was fully sure that it had to be a movie from Maverick Entertainment, given the movie's cover. Yet, I still opted to watch the movie, since it was a movie that I had never seen, nor actually ever heard about. The movie's title is rather corny, truth be told.

Turned out that "I Thought My Husband's Wife Was Dead" wasn't a movie from Maverick Entertainment.

The storyline in the movie was adequate and entertaining enough for what it was, but I have to say that the pacing of the narrative left for something to be wanted. It was a rather slow paced narrative, and there wasn't much of anything thrilling or exciting happening throughout the course of the 87 minutes that the movie ran for. Writer Tamara Gregory managed to put together a fair enough script, but it was just lacking ingredients to make it an exciting movie to sit through.

I was not familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie, and that actually spoke well in favor of the movie. Yeah, I enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen when I watch movies. I will say that the acting performances in the movie were good.

Watchable, sure, especially if you enjoy thrillers. But I have to say that "I Thought My Husbands Wife Was Dead" doesn't revolutionize the genre, nor does it bring anything new or exciting to the genre.

My rating of director Troy Scott's 2024 movie "I Thought My Husbands Wife Was Dead" lands on a five out of ten stars.

Ok,I usually dislike lifetime movies and use them as backround noise or to fall asleep. Most are predictable,this isn't 1 of those movies.

It gets real interesting towards the middle and once you watch the full movie it all comes together.

If you love a good plot twist(or 3) watch this film.

There was only 1 other review here as I'm writing this and if that person had watched the entire movie then none of those questions would have been asked.

The whole cast did great,the writing was great. I loved the bits of comedy thrown it. I'm going to find more projects by the writer.

Latoya Luckett is always a joy,I hope this brings her more film projects,I like her playing this character.
