A man gets injected with an experimental serum that slowly transforms him into a bunny man with a huge prosthetic bunny boner. A group of young adults get stuck out in a cabin where the bunny dude just so happens to be running around rabid and raping.
This one is mostly in Finnish with some Swedish here and there. Some English is in there as well so you will have to read the rest. Most of the violence is over the top like most gun shots to the head usually blow it right off. Dark humour is thrown in as well for good measure. They went all out for creature effects and just threw some guy in a rabbit costume but they did do some pretty cool eye gouging scenes.

Regarding 'Bunny the Killer Thing', that it was low-budget, which from frequent personal experience is rarely a good sign due to that there are so many poor ones out there (though there are decent to good ones as well), made me apprehensive. Did like the idea though somewhat, though it was one that would go either way in execution (creepy or camp) and the cover gave the impression it would be fun and creepy if also silly.
'Bunny the Killer Thing' was one weird film and for me it was a difficult one to rate and review because my feelings on it were so conflicted and the film was so strange. Is it a good film? Not really. Is it terrible? Didn't think so. Does it intrigue somewhat? Yes. Does it scare? Sometimes. Does it entertain? Guess so. Are there worse films out there? Absolutely yes, far worse, as well as much better.
It is atmospherically shot and the sound isn't too obvious or intrusive. The actors knew what sort of film they were in and give better than expected performances, not amazing but serviceable. The titular character is much creepier than it sounds on paper and has a personality.
There is some amusing dark humour and there are moments that are suspenseful and creepy.
Admittedly though, the effects are ropy and the bunny looks ridiculously cheap. The violence tends to be overdone and at times gratuitous. Not all the humour works, some of it is out of place and parts are not as tasteful as they could. If anybody at all takes issue with a serious subject like rape being poked fun at that is understandable, it was below the belt.
While the story was far from a dull one and had enough good moments of unsettlement and suspense, this wasn't sustained all the way through, too many parts are just stupid beyond belief and things can get chaotic and all-over-the-place that it can affect the coherence. A lot of elements are thrown and it all feels at the end of the day too much, some of it was not necessary and again bad taste appears (the nudity etc. was overused to vulgar degrees). The characters are sketchy and some of their decisions are bizarre and don't make sense.
Overall, a very weird film and it was difficult what to make out of it. There were things that to me did come over reasonably but this is not a film that will attract wide audiences or be watched over and over again and may alienate many. 5/10 Bethany Cox

With a title as Bunny the Killer Thing, we immediately get a sense as to what this film would be about. Described as a horror comedy, this is a slight slasher film with a main monstrous villain.
The film is a decent enough watch but hardly anything special. The Bunny creature is simply a person whom gets injected with some experimental bunny medicine/ serum of some sort.
The gory isn't too violent though most of the kills by the Bunny where murder by rape- which was more comedic and bizarre than scary.
There were many characters most of which were generic and simply there to take up time.
Also a lot of the film's dialogue isn't in English and being unable to watch with subtitles, was slightly difficult in fully understanding what was occurring (mainly the beginning- English becomes more prominent as the film progresses).
Note: Bizarrely enough there is a post end credit scene featuring the young teen wondering the woods. It starts around the 1:21:00.

First, this is not an Easter movie. It always seems to be listed in Easter movie lists by mistake.
Second, the movie is one big mess that is mainly a compiled script of useless characters whose sole purpose is to be the targets of a randy killer monster bunny that just wants a certain female body part and will stop at nothing to get it. The monster bunny just dangles and twirls his "thing" as he chases the characters. That's about all it does as the characters regurgitate their useless lines that serve no purpose. Some exploitation is thrown in to add to the silliness.

And not in a good Ed Wood kind of way. It's basically an insult to all senses and particularly one's intelligence. It's supposed to be a comedy, a parody/satire of the genre, but the best jokes here are still worse than the worst jokes in the Scary Movie franchise. Therefore the concept that tries to make rape funny doesn't quite land. It doesn't help that the director doesn't know a thing about timing. Or - and I cannot stress this enough - about directing actors. The best of them are struggling with the amateurish dialogue, the rest merely exist. In the loosest sense of the word "exist".
I was incredibly embarrased and uncomfortable watching this garbage in the company of other people. This should only be seen in one of those private rooms of your local, as shady as possible X-rated shops, where you can really embrace the bottom feeder in you. "Bunny the Killer Thing" is not weird in any way. It's just bad. Peter Jackson's early films are weird. They also don't have much of a script. They are way gorier and ruder, too. But, unlike "Bunny", they are actually directed, and they have things like timing, jokes and fun. And actual actors. Jackson had enough good taste to make "Bad Taste". These guys just have a bad taste.

Who ever made this movie he should have nothing else to do! The worst film I ever watched! No didn't watched it as I felt so bored! If there was 0 I will give as 1 isn't worth it! Don't bother watch it!

This was easily the weirdest and most memorable movie in the Bruce Campbell horror film festival (2015). Get ready for a lot of weird and borderline nonsensical set-up to have a group of Fins and Brits spending the night in a cabin in the woods during winter. Then suddenly, Bunny the killer thing (nothing more complex than a man in a furry suit) comes in, helicopter-swinging his enormous penis around yelling "PUSSY!". The then proceeds to rape (and murder by raping) several people. The wild and trippy ride concludes with 2 cases of homosexual unrequited love, a kidnapped Swedish pop star, and a room full of humping furries. It won't become your favorite movie unless you are on a lot of drugs. But, you will never forget... "PUSSY!!!"

Unwatchable if using Amazon Prime as it has no subtitles so English speakers won't understand what's going on. There are bits of English dialogue but I found I was missing some info. I'm not sure if it's just a problem with prime or it's the actual film. We only watched 10 mins, so not sure how much was in Finnish and English, but without subtitles it was just pointless.

My favorite killer were-bunny-on-a-rampage, horror sex comedy, Finnish/UK international production of 2015.
I laughed a lot watching this, but wouldn't recommend it to anyone easily offended. Gets a bit racy and gross.
But seriously, what did I just watch? It's a comedy and a horror movie. And maybe a little pornographic.

Have seen the short on which this is based this doesn't add an extra to the short. The effects for the raving bunny are ridiculous funny and cheaply done but it's what the bunny does that is delivering the gory parts. And those are well done.
If you can't stand stupid flicks then this isn't your thing but if you dig stupidity with a gory sausage then it's worth seeing, only it's hard to find this one. Only shown at conventions so far.
Funny situations and a stupid killer only tricked to kill when he sees pussy. Some nudity here and there. Overall well shot and edited. If you have the change to see it, do so. Some parts are just on the edge of boredom, others do deliver the stuff, and what about the ending, hilarious
Gore 3/5 Nudity 1,5/5 Effects 3/5 Story 2/5 Comedy 1/5

This is a pretty bad movie that is not enjoyable at all. The story is bizarre with a scientist who injected a man who turns him into a mutant rabbit. It could have worked for a cheesy horror movie, but the results are pretty bad. Also, it never explained why this scientist created this serum that turns people into mutated rabbits, and the version I watch doesn't have subtitles. Now, most of the movie is either the characters doing random tasks or the killer rabbit killing people for a current reason. The stuff that the characters do is mostly the same thing, and the humor gets pretty repetitive throughout. Even the revealed on what the British guys are hiding came out of nowhere and is forgotten. The stuff with the mutated rabbit is just him chasing random people and killing them. It's gets pretty tedious and isn't that enjoyable to watch. The ending is anticlimactic and pretty weak. I have nothing to say about the characters because all of them sucks and lack any interesting traits about them. Most of them are one-dimensional and lack any likeability to them. Even the humor from them is really bad and never got to me.
Bunny the Killer Rabbit is an unfunny horror comedy movie that is probably the worst that I have seen and is not worth watching.

I've actually seen the 2015 Finnish horror comedy movie "Bunny: The Killer Thing" once before. But I have essentially forgotten about the storyline. So I opted to revisit the movie once again here in 2024.
Writers Miika J. Norvanto and Joonas Makkonen put together a very unique and enjoyable script and storyline. It is a rather far out there storyline, and that makes the movie one that doesn't necessarily easily finds a seating with everyone in the audience. I, however, have a somewhat odd sense of humor and have to admit that I found the storyline in the movie to be right up my alley. It was so bizarre and out there that it was just pure horror comedy gold.
Granted, I haven't seen the short film that this 2015 movie is based on, but that hardly was important, because I thoroughly enjoyed this 2015 movie nonetheless.
Needless to say that given my very limited exposure to Finnish cinema, then I was by n means familiar with the cast ensemble. I will, however, say that they had a good cast ensemble for the various roles and characters, and the actors and actresses put on good performances.
The character gallery in "Bunny: The Killer Thing" was good and funny. There were some rather memorable and unique characters in the movie. And the dialogue was loaded with funny moments as well, especially from the killer bunny creature.
Visually then I found the effects in the movie to be good. Sure, it was pretty low key and practical effects, but it worked well in favor of the movie. And it sort of added to a flavor to the uniqueness that the movie was. It just goes to prove that a movie doesn't need multi-million dollar CGI effects to be effective.
If you enjoy horror comedy and don't mind watching non-English movies, then you most certainly should take 88 minutes to sit down and watch this movie from director Joonas Makkonen.
My rating of "Bunny: The Killer Thing" lands on a seven out of ten stars.

So, I was bored and searched for comedy horrors and stumbled across this gem.
As of Jan 2017, it has a poor rating of 4.5. I do not get why? This is a horror comedy that is rude and gross and at the same time very weird.
It is about a killer bunny that wants poon and kills. It slowly builds up till you see the creature and it is both funny and terrifying to see. Yes, that is essentially it, a poon loving killer, but it works. It is fun and campy and disgusting. Full of terrible people who do horrible things. With all that, it works.
Of you enjoy the rude and crude with a dash of comedy and disgust and laughter, yes this is for you.
I recommend and give it a 10 out of 10. Bunny the KillER Thing is a guaranteed killer good time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and a MUST WATCH!
