The satellite TV dishes in the early 1980s weren't anything like ones in Cairo, Egypt. The signal from the satellites back then wasn't as strong as modern ones. Whoever could receive the satellite TV signals had to install huge dishes that are 1.5 to 2 metres in diameter.
The X-Films' title sequences features a weapon used by the villain of each film, backed by the X-Men's Cerebro device. In this film it is Apocalypse's pyramid device.
