Gastronauts

Produced for Dropout and hosted by Jordan Myrick we follow three new judges and three new professional chefs each episode as we go through three rounds of comedic culinary challenges. Each judge must present the chefs with a funny challenge, like heaviest food or best-tasting gross-looking meal. After the three 30 minute rounds a competition winner is crowned, earning a "real life" piece of the moon. In turn the chefs award the judges with the best challenge, taking home a "real life" piece of the sun as their award. Overall, the show is quite fun, and its very clear its first and foremost a comedy than it is any sort of serious competition. This certainly works given its a Dropout program, however there was the odd moment where the chefs seems needlessly stressed or frustrated. Overall there were a few great challenges and laughs, and as someone who likes food shows generally this one was fun. I quite liked Myrick as host, just seems a joy to be around. If you have Dropout already and seems like something you like, yeah I'd recommend checking it out.
