After Ferdinand, a bull with a big heart, is mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure.
Blue Sky Studios's 8th PG Rated Movie, of which all their films but Horton Hears a Who! (2008), Rio (2011), Rio 2 (2014) and The Peanuts Movie (2015) have been Rated, as well as their 3rd non-Ice Age film to have that rating.
That's the way it is. Either you're a fighter, or you're meat. So long, meat.
Ferdinand is named Ferdinand from birth, when he is being raised at the bull camp. He then runs away and is adopted by a new family, but how does this new family know that is name is Ferdinand? He was not wearing any identification tags, and he clearly couldn't speak to the humans to tell them this.
During the first half of the closing credits, family photos of Ferdinand alongside Juan, Nina, Paco, Lupe and the rest of bulls are shown.
